Matthew Duran: I've had these for a few years and they won't slip off the barbell but they hold on really tight so don't try to yank them off, pull gently. They will stand out from other clamps used in gyms which is good. I have enjoyed these.

RH: I bought this probably a year ago but never knew how to properly use it until I read another review recently about opening it until it clicked. I just figured these didn’t fit my barbells, missed the return date and tossed them aside… ended up having to spent more money buying a different brand… they do seem to work well now that I know how to use it but they definitely need to do a better job of letting people know how they operate, a bit disappointed that for the longest time I had a 1 star review on this thinking it didn’t work and support also never bothered to reach out...

That said I do own and like many of Synergee’s products and these do seem to work well but I’m still a bit concerned about the durability… the locking mechanism doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence and I worry it’ll wear out or break but we’ll see…

Joe: I looked into getting the Rogue Barbell Clips, but couldn’t justify the $70+ price tag. I found these and decided to try them out. I’ve been using them for about a month now, with deadlift and squat days. They hold extremely well, not budging with 450 lbs on the bar (deadlift or squat), haven’t tested above that yet. I’ve used them for power clean as well, and they haven’t budged even when dropping the bar a good couple feet.

Only downside is that I wish the plastic lever was aluminum as well, and I wish they made a simple simplistic design without the wave like curves. But other than that, they’re fantastic and a I use them almost everyday.

Jimmy: I currently am using them with a Bells of Steel Power Bar and Bells of Steels Dumbbell Handles.

The collars are fairly tight when putting them on. I wish it opened up about 1 more millimeter so you can put them on more easily. Also the lever feels a little flimsy and has some play to it.

Aside from those minor gripes they grip very tight. My other $15 plastic collars would slowly side off when doing deadlifts but these collars don't move at all.

ryan e connoy: When I received these collars one of the latches broke on the first installing it on a bar. That being said, the customer service is excellent. They just needed an order number and a pic and sent out a replacement set asap! I’ve been using these collars for a few months now and the are great. I highly recommend this product. Great performance and top notch customer service!

That One Chad: I was having a bad time with my existing collars slipping on a set of adjustable dumb bells. I have tried a few different brands from Amazon and they all would slide and mid set would get uneven and wobbly. I found these and some other reviewers complaining about them being “too tight” was all I needed to hear. They work perfect and don’t slip at all on my setup… you know, exactly like they’re supposed to! If you are having trouble getting the opened collar on your bar bells and dumb bells… you may not have them open all the way, fully push the lever to the opened position and it’s much easier to get on and off the bar ends. Anyways, they’re great, I came back and bought a total of 5 pairs for my various bar and dumb bells because I plan to toss all the existing collars in my gym into a box for back ups… but these are my new daily lift buddies.

M Wesley: Well made of anodized aluminum, these collars are solidly built and have excellent holding power. After several weeks of use, I'e seen no failures in materials or workmanship to speak of, only a few minor gripes perhaps based in personal preference. Reading some reviews, there is concern over the plastic lever breaking and I can see where the lever is quite thin at the base where it engages with two pins to cam the collar open or shut. Perhaps over time, this thin material may prove to be the weak point but so far so good. Regarding fit, the collars are very snug on my Rogue Echo bar (which has ribbed sleeves) and on my inexpensive overseas made no-name bar (smooth sleeves). The fit is so close to the diameter of the sleeves on both bars that pulling them off by hand is a bit irritating as the collar rubber catches on the sleeve and skids its way off. Pushing the collars off by using the plates to keep them square to the sleeve facilitates smoother removal. They fit a bit looser on my Synergee trap bar, which I expected to be the case. My last gripe is the pinwheel shape of the collar. It looks cool and is rather novel, but proves awkward in use. It feels very weird to grip the...

Demo: I had some high hopes with these, but unfortunately they didn't live up to those expectation.

When I first received them they were a little stiff on my Olympic bar. After a little bit of use, though, the rubber sleeve did compress a bit and they fit perfect. Just tight enough to hold a lot of weight, but not so tight that they were difficult to use. I very much like these clamps. But...

I was always a little concerned that I would break the cam arm on them when locking them onto the bar, but oddly enough it was when releasing them that the cam cracked. I train 3 to 4 times per week, and used these almost 7 weeks before the one broke. I could still tighten it onto the bar even with the cracked cam section, but likely not safe to do so. I am back to using my old, annoying spring clamps now.

Full disclosure, these do apparently have an amazing warranty, and I have yet to contact the manufacturer. I am very confident that they will make everything good again, and it could be that this one clamp had a defect. I have heard that they are used in a lot of gyms, and given the tight margins gyms operate at, I doubt they would use these if they didn't last.

I will...
