reveregirl: I bought the "Susan Bates Hoop-La Embroidery Hoop, 6-Inch" based on prior experience with this brand's hoops, but this one is slightly different. I like the ring insert because it keeps the fabric taut but this one has some texture inside the ring that prevents it from gripping as well. I believe this has been discontinued recently and that might be why.

I got an orange one. The seller might want to add “color may vary” to the listing for any other weirdos out there like me who have a color preference. But price was good. Shipping a bit slow. And color aside I’m happy I have it!

TittlyTut: I bought this to try out embroidery, so I can't really say how the hoop stands up to other hoop brands, but it seems to be working for me. If you're picky about the hoop color, I'll just say that the picture is of a yellow hoop, but mine is purple. So if this is to frame a piece of art, look elsewhere. Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with the product.

Amazon Customer: There is nothing wrong with the hoop, however it is orange not yellow so if you are wanting yellow specifically you would be disappointed.

AmandaAmanda: I noticed reviews about the hoops coming with the tightening bolt missing, but mine came with a hard plastic cap on the end of the screw which prevented the bolt from coming loose. (See photo)
I have 4 of these hoops, but so far, I haven’t received any missing the bolts.
I ordered this 7” hoop as I was recently working on a project and my 6” hoop didn’t give enough working area, and the 8” hoop was just a bit too big for the piece of fabric.

PET PARENT: I purchased this as a gift basket item...i was assembling a craft basket for a child...this little hoop was very sturdy and well made...the color was cute...the shipping was fast...( i was on a birthday deadline ) but the main thing was the size...perfect for smaller hands to learn on... it's really trendy right now for younger kids to learn to embroider and cross stitch...actually all handcrafts are popular now...friendship bracelets, crochet, knit, rubberband and bead loom jewelry etc etc...the kids make gifts for each other...it's so sweet to see kids appreciating the art of handmade gift giving...TY to the hipster/artisan movement...charming!!
