GeoPhilly: Years ago I started having issues with my Goodman heater furnace not turning on when thermostat demanded heat. I called a HVAC repair man. He checked and said "oh boy you have a bad igniter" ! Now that sounds like a big deal to the average to the average "not so furnace savy homeowner". I asked him how much and he said $200.00 including the present repair call. I said let me get at least two more quotes. He left grumbling ,lol ! I started googling and filled my head with as much info on Goodman issues involving igniters. I found the igniter on Amazon for less than $20.00 !!! Watched two Youtube videos and INSTALLED THE IGNITER MYSELF !! Two screws and a perfectly compatible plug. Fired up the heater and BINGO,,, fired up immediately ! That was 2017. It served its purpose for six years. Just replaced it again today 3/26/2023 ! DIY and save $180.00 bucks !
