M. Gross: My furnace kept starting and quitting after a few seconds of the burner being lit. Replaced with this inexpensive flame sensor and works perfectly now. Great value.

Eric N. Turner: My furnace kept cycling on and off. It was never on long enough to warm up the house. When it's 20 degrees outside, a working furnace is a must. This $10 part fixed my winter world!

Harmoneejo: We've learned that furnace flame sensors are a furnace part that should be cleaned annually and replaced every few years. When our furnace started to run only spasmodically, we began looking for a solution. After much troubleshooting, we narrowed the problem down to the furnace flame sensor and ordered this part. We actually ordered 2 of these parts since we wanted to be sure to have a backup after learning that this is a wear part that needs to be replaced periodically.
So far, replacing this part has returned warmth to our house.

jz: My original is getting up in age and recently was the source of an error code. Cleaning it resolved that problem. But I bought one to have on hand and haven't installed it. I bought this one based on other reviews that said this was USA made. Where does the Seneca River brand sold by JustEquipment come from? No idea. The bagged package has no markings - no brand, no product number, no country of origin - and neither does the product itself. Just a sticker on the bag that says "OEM Upgraded Replacement ... Rheem (Original Version) New". The product listing puts "Seneca River Trading" next to "Manufacturer" but Seneca River Trading is an appliance parts supplier based in New York state, not a manufacturer and not really a brand, either. Does it work? Probably. It certainly looks right. What is upgraded? Not sure about that either, although I know some OE components installed in new equipment many years ago were upgraded by Rheem sometime in the mid-2010s models. Is it actual OE but rebagged? Or generic aftermarket? Who knows? There are cheaper generic versions out there. Are they the same as this? Who knows? Not being clear about the product origin is why I've only given 3 stars...

LuisLuis: My old sensor is dated and started to fail, this past winter. fortunately, I made this purchase as a replacement incase my sensor failed completely or to get a head start for next fall, should the weather drop unexpectedly. 1. This sensor appears good quality. 2. It feels well made, 3. looks as good as more expensive flame sensors. I haven't install it yet, I only gave it 3 stars because in all fairness I can't speak on application/ how well it works or longevity. I will update when installed. I paid for this item myself, this is a diy guys honest review. Hope this helps.
