Kim: My betas and my shrimp love these just make sure you boil them so that your water doesn’t turn brown! For the shrimp I usually break them up in pieces so they can hide and play in them!👍🏻😊

Rayna Price: Did exactly what I wanted. Got a decent water staining. Only warning is be sure to not put too many in. Depending on your tank size it may cause a bacterial bloom. I put 25 in and it caused one in my 10G, but that was my mistake.

Katerina: Good quantity! The price is $20 in all the physical stores so this is a good price. I add them to my shrimp tank and my community tank and they lower the ph naturally and my shrimp love nibbling on them.

MK: It's a little skeptical at first because I know I needed to get some beneficials for my beta but it was hard to find something that the price looked right. I was actually surprised how big the leaves are though, it made the price make a lot more sense. I probably don't need to put the whole leaf in at the same time. I'm probably going to try breaking the leaf up into like a third or something.

I've never used these before, so I don't know how well it's going to work for my tank. But they do come highly recommended by specialty fish stores and some YouTubers. If anything weird happens I'll update my review later. I do know that they're supposed to slightly tint the water with the tannins, so that's another reason why I want to use a smaller quantity just to keep an eye on that.

JessicaJessica: This really works wonders for your fish, and it leaves a beautiful color, that really helped with my fish’s color. And also ridding bad bacteria! Even parasites, and also for him to hide and soften the water for more sunlit sculptures, like it really helps with everything, also I followed the reviews and boiled mine back and forth for 10 mins, set it in cold filtered water and even conditioned it before putting it in. Another 15-20 minutes. Really nice and clean leaf. All parasites Gone, because I know they don’t like darker water. So my fish is healthy and really chilling out in the summer and if you want to remove the leaf after about a weak, awesome. It’s nice for breeding, and they love it especially if they glass swim. So it’s a 10/10. I sealed mine in a ziplock bag, because I didn’t have a container, so a ziplock will do. I didn’t soak for 24 hours, because I wanted the dark color, it’s helps them with parasites. Thanks. My fish is happy with this! Boosted his morale and I hope he has babies!

Louise Young: These are slightly smaller than advertised, but still a good product. I always boil them first to ensure I don't contaminate my tank, and have had no problems. The leaves were solid and decent quality. I did make a mistake once, and put some in a new tank, which wasn't properly cycled. The nitrate levels rose dramatically and killed some fish. So if you ensure your tank is mature, all should be well.

Serena: this is actually a lifesaver. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what was wrong with my Betta Imbellis, before remembering that the breeder encouraged a lot of tannins in the water. Added all 10 of the big leaves to my tank, and lo and behold! within 24 hours the water is stained a lovely brown, and the male is blowing bubble nests and flirting with his harem again (they're imbellis so yes a male can be kept with females, it's fine.) all the bettas are more active, and their colors have become richer and darker- my poor male's fins were nearly translucent before this!

a couple of notes- I did boil the leaves for 5 minutes to avoid the "white worms" (nematodes?) that some poor reviews had mentioned. the packaging recommends doubling the dose of leaves if they're boiled, and the "dosage" they recommend is rather generous- the 10 large leaves, even boiled, have easily stained the water in my 29 gallon tank. I kept the water used to boil them on the assumption that I may need to add it to the tank, to reclaim the tannins released by boiling, but it hasn't been necessary yet.
