Dennis Sirman: Easily found its way through a crowded chase of a Boston Whaler. Have not pulled wire yet but I assume it will work well. Boats can be tough to snake through.

Mark Vatcher: had to run some cable through my basement finished ceiling joists but this thing will just not sit straight for any length of time. just ends up curling up again at the first minor blockage.

If you're using it for conduits only or very short runs, i guess it's ok. but in tougher situations, the curling is just too frustrating.

Getting an extendable rod version and/or the flat steel version. keeping this one in case i ever find a use for it.

Jessie: If you are trying to fish this through a wall or somewhere without conduit it will coil back to its original shape. It is a strong puller, not a pusher. Had to cut holes every three feet to push to destination. Research your uses, proper fish tape is likely required if longer than 3 feet.

Daniel B.: This unit has lots of movement but it can be tough to get it to where you want it because it is not very firm has lots of flexibility but it is very good value for the money.

DRDR: I have a few simple electrical projects on the go and one was to move an existing light fixture to a new spot since it was blocked by our garage door opener. I’ll also be doing pot lighting soon so decided on an inexpensive fishing tool. The garage project was supposed to be simple, just installing a. new fixture 3ft away from the existing. But because of insulation in the ceiling, this turned into a nightmare. I tried the old coat hanger, it didn’t work. I was skeptical that this fish would work because of the insulation, but sure enough, came through on the first try. It took a couple of wiggles to help it along but made quick work of it. And the lime green is hard to miss.

The material is really strong but springy. I think I’ll definitely get a lot of good use from this for a variety of projects. Great, simple product that’s nice to tuck away in your tool chest.
