Joe: I've got a few fish tapes and this one is more flexible than the others. It can easily get around tight bends in conduit or walls. I don't think you could ram this through a tight space like the stiffer ones though. This is now my goto fish tape.

Katiemunster: Anyone that knows anything about tools knows quality is number 1 and feel is number 2. This Fish Tape is absolutely perfect; it has a great handle, laser etching length on the tape that's easy to read in the dark and awkward spots that you find yourself in when trying to fish wires and stuff. The tip is the perfect shape to push through insulation, wiggle in between existing wire runs and not overly hooked to get snagged on things when you are trying to feel your way blindly or draw the tape back to you. The tip and metal material also gives you excellent feedback sense so you are able to tell the material you are up against. A wire hook tip or a fiberglass point tip will not do that. I had to run some coaxial cable and ethernet cable from my basement to my attic past the first floor in between the chimney and a plaster wall and I could totally tell from tip feedback when I was running against the wires, the bricks or the wall. Brilliant tool at an excellent price. Buy this one.

Andy: This tool is great, it is quite sturdy metal inside so you can give it a decent push through cavities. I use it either by taping a cable to the end and pushing it through together or by feeding the fish tape through first, then taping the cable to it and pulling it back through.
25 feet is plenty for most jobs and would be a fitting addition to any engineers tool bag that deals with cabling.
The only single gripe I have had is the design of the head. The squared shape at the bottom tends to snag a lot when pulling the tape back through a cavity - it was easily fixed by sanding all of the corners into a nice round shape, although would have preferred the tip to be slightly better thought out at this price. A diamond shape would probably be most suitable

W. Cruz: For $12 this thing works great. I do tech work for a living but I hadn’t run cables in a decade. I needed to get up an interior wall and into my attic to run speaker wire for rear surround sound. I wasn’t sure if this was going to work but figured I’d give it a try. It worked very well. First the steel cable is fairly stiff and thick with just enough flex to get it to follow the interior wall up. I was able to run some pull string and pull the speaker wire through. This is an excellent tool for running cable and for $12 bucks you really can’t beat it. That being said I didn’t lube up the tip the way others have mentioned and it did get stuck on something on the way down. I took me about 10-15 min of moving the steel tape around to finally get it unstick. That being said this tool is a winner. Definitely recommend for pulling wire and at $12 it doesn’t cost so much that it will kill your budget if it doesn’t work out.

Moe: To get this out of the way, it’s a good product, feels nice and stable, easy to use. Recommended for small household jobs with thin wiring and cables.
The complaint is the feeding tip. Trying to run Ethernet through walls, you’re supposed to feed it through the eyelet...well, in my case, the cable end was too large to get through, and here I was thinking it opened up and clamped shut, or had a hook, it doesn’t. I solved this problem with a little wire from an old hanger to make my own hook that held up to the job. And for 4-5$ more, I could have bought the one with the hook setup. Hindsight I suppose.
For that, it took an extra few minutes to use my wire cutters to make a hook, so I’ll only take one star off, as it’s still a good product, and would recommend for small jobs.

G W.: Why did I not buy this years ago? Any time I needed to feed cables through walls etc I used an unwound coat hanger and struggled. With this in hand I was able to thread cables through ceilings, between walls and plaster board and through brickwork as I was redecorating the whole lounge and needed to hide cables for my tv and audio system. My wife was especially happy at the lack of walls being smashed to pieces to hide cables, that in itself is worth the price! The tape unwinds easily, is sturdy when you need it to be or flexible when you need that too. Makes jobs so much easier and feels like it will last forever. Very happy.

Richard Wilborn: I bought this item to run some cat5e and some other low voltage cabling throughout our house.
Pros:
-Durable, made with great materials
-Study and wont get stuck because of the tape is strong
-Etched measurements on tape makes it easy to know where you are in the wall
-Plastic tip is good for connecting wires so they don't come off the tape while running
- The plastic tip will snap off if it gets snagged pretty well. I consider this a good thing because it keeps the tip from breaking. The tip will just snap back on if this happens.
Cons:
It does not automatically get rid of my nightmare of running cat5e through walls but this is more of a personal issue :)

Erica Ivy: One-leg Jack was one of the finest men I ever had the pleasure of meeting. A fine sailor, a wonderful guy who would give you the shirt off his own back. When Jack was taken by the shark, I vowed revenge. The sea was calm, and the skies blue when the shark jumped onto the deck of our ship. He grabbed Jack in his large mouth, then flipped himself overboard taking my friend with him. He didn't even have time to scream, just a look of panic on his face before he was taken to a watery grave.
I vowed revenge, and every day I would take to the seas looking for that giant fishy bsstrd that took my friend.
I tried all manner of fishing lines and rods, but to no avail. That giant shark just snapped them all. I needed something stronger.
I saw this fish tape on Amazon, and I thought I would give it a try.
I tied up some dead squirrels and some other roadkill onto the orange handle, and then cast away into the ocean. It didn't take long before I felt a strong pull, and I started to pull in the tape. It was heavy, could vengeance shortly be mine?
One final yank, and then to my horror, onto the deck of the ship flopped the armless, legless body of One-leg...

CCCL350: I used this to run coax cables from outside the house into a small pitch cramped attic that had a large HVAC system inside. It would have been impossible to run cables without a metal fish tape.
This Klein fish tape did the job well. The metal is just the right thickness. Also has measurements on the metal which is kind of useful when your running wires.
