Maureen Tsadilas: Just a note: TPMS factory wires are tight as guitar strings before their cut. Hardest part was securing the controller and panel(s) reinstall. Would definitely recommend before $500+ at dealer.

Amazon Customer: Followed the video exactly, just installed but seems to work great on my 2018 SR5. Took longer to cleanly route the wires and mount the control box than anything else.
I'll update this if anything changes.
A couple of things that threw me off,
1: in the video, he has a different style wiring harness that has more wires going into it. Yours will have less wires, must be an older model or something.
2: the instructions don't say where the red and green wires coming from the tire pressure harness connect to. One end of the wire you cut goes into the plug, and another down the length of the harness. No one mentioned anything about this so I'm assuming it doesn't matter, but I used the red wire on the upper end going into the plug.

Kyle O.: Worked as desired, Instructions not 100% accurate. Only issue installing was I had to plug all wire harnesses in first before the power harness. Programming worked as per instructions after. First, I followed the included instructions that state you should do the opposite and install the power/ignition plugin first, that did not work. Also installed the Fortin RF KIT RFK411 for long range remote at the same time. Happy with the product so far. Those instructions were also wrong, required the key to be on-off-on and pump the brakes as per the instructions, the blue light also never came on. After I figured that out it all worked. Installed in a 2023 Tacoma SR and the truck stays running when I open the door. Since it is an SR I did NOT have to splice any wires, all plug and play.

gdwithwords: I purchased the Start X remote starter for my 2022 Tacoma with key start. (You should be aware that button start models require a different Start X model.) It works perfectly but the way the OBD plug connects has changed from earlier Tacoma models and if you are not aware of this the installation will be frustrating because the video posted on Amazon for the OBD connection is wrong for the 2022 model. There are two wiring harnesses. The instructions for harness 2 - the first set of wires on the video, (the one that connects behind the starter switch), works fine. For harness 1 (The second connection described on the video) there are 3 sets of plugs. A small pair of plugs (both male end) plug into the remote starter module (The black box). Another set of male/female plugs interface the BCM connection (far left top plug). For that connection, instructions on the video are correct. The other set of male/female connections is made to interface the OCD connection. For 2022 Tacoma this is simpler than what is described on video for previous models. There is no need to "interface" the OCD connection so the female end of the wire pair will not be necessary, and you will just let it hang...
