RobB: Installation was fairly straight forward. Wasn't clear where to connect into the electrical system but was able to figure it out. After 2 months it is still working good. Really like that you don't need a second fob.

B-Wow: My 9 year old son and I spent a little over an hour installing this in my 2018 Toyota C-HR (push button start). The videos on the website were for a Highlander which didn't really help in the disassembly or panels and location of specific wiring harnesses. Had to figure it out for myself. Once I was able to locate the 2 different harnesses (and one very difficult to reach), the rest of the installation and setup was super easy. Product works as described. My only suggestion would be to have model-specific videos uploaded to the website for ease of installation.

Adam Phaneuf: The fastest remote starter I have installed. Connects into existing wire harness without any cutting and splicing, simply plug and play. Full install including opening the dash, disconnect 2 plugs, reconnecting with the supplied harness, programing, testing, securing wires with supplied zip ties, and closing up the dash, all in about 10 minutes.
Also not having to carry around another remote is awesome, but would recommend testing the range of your OEM remote to insure you have the range your looking for. All in all I'm very happy with the product and would highly recommend.

Jomantra: This review is for the Start-X Plug N Play Remote Start Starter for Toyota Highlander 2014-2019. It is for the push-to-start (not keyed) Highlanders only. I have a late in the year model 2019 Toyota Highlander I installed this device in, meaning they had changed the configuration of the under the dash plugs from what the instructions showed. It took me a little longer to install than anticipated because of this. I watch the video from the manufacturer which brushed over some difficult spots, like removing the dash panel in front of the driver's knee (not the side panel between the door and the dash), and the plugs in the video weren't exactly configured like the plugs under my dash that I needed to plug into. The dash panel (in front of the driver's knee) was more difficult to remove than what the manufacturer's video portrayed or actually didn't show. I can't even describe how to remove it accurately, (I finally grasped both sides of the dash panel, pulled down, and it popped off), but I finally removed it. The remote start works almost exactly like my Toyota Sequoia Platinum. Click LOCK 3 times and hold down the 3rd a moment and it starts which is great because summer is HOT and getting into a cool car rocks, and winter is COLD and getting into a WARM car rocks! It also keeps the door LOCKED and car safe. It's so convenient. She starts the car from her house and by the time she gets to the car it's ready.
To stop it, it will stop on it's own in around 10 minutes or so. I haven't timed it on either car. You open the handle, with keys in hand, and it stops. Or you click lock 3 times and hold down the 3rd lock a moment and it stops. This is the main difference between my Sequoia and the Highlander.

I jumped on Prime and searched auto starts for my vehicle. There it was in all its alluring beauty, Easy to install, no special tools needed, plug & play ease, installation videos, and a price tag of less than $150!!!
I was sucked in hook, line and sinker!
It came the next day. It was much smaller than I expected. It had a lot of wires! What did I get into.
I studied the videos and installation guide. A week later I was ready!
I got in my vehicle, turned on the video, followed it step by step, and 63 minutes later I had a fully operable remote start!
YEAH BABY! Now I cannot reccomend this product enough. Literally if I can do it, anyone can.
