Big Blue: I gave this three stars because in the end it did work but seems kind of expensive for the small amount you get. You need to work fast with it cuz it'll get clumped up but in the end I did like the finished product but I would think there's something better out there.

Avid Camper: Really would have preferred something like a shrink tape instead of the dip, it does not go in very thick and doesn't hold the rope together as well as I would like. Probably the best part is that it isn't that noticeable, so if appearance is important to you that is a plus.

Russell Williams: When making tiedowns or dock ropes out of twisted-strand nylon ropes this stuff is better than melted ends. Works well but gets a bit messy when applying. You need multiple coats.

Dewey: As the instructions note, your rope will require multiple layers. I didn't really understand that until Day Two. The stuff is runnier than I thought it would be and takes a LOT to build up.

4J Livestock: this is a great product for rope that doesn’t melt. i am doing some work with yacht/sail line and whipping the end with twine would have left me with a little puff ball because it doesn’t melt. i wrapped a piece of electrical tape right above where i wanted the end to be…so this product wouldn’t go above that point when i dipped it. i had to dip the end several times (to get the “hardness” i wanted) but the result was a end that held together and looked good. highly recommend!
