LDJG: This stapler is a heavy gauge metal and is extremely durable and strong. I have used it a veritable ton and it has worked without a single jam or issue. If you need a heavy-duty stapler, this is the one to get.
Two things to keep in mind:
#1. These things are very strong and so they take quite a bit of force to operate the handle. It may be difficult for someone younger or older to operate.
#2. Pay attention to how the staples load. It is actually super easy when you do it, but I always overthink it and wind up trying to put them in the wrong part of the slide.

Tom Hardy: i needed a stapler to attach screens to window frames. this simple stapler Works Well ! i have two electric staplers that couldn't seat a staple in pine. this stapler drove the staple to the desired depths every squeeze of the handle.
This is a Good value as well as a Very Good stapler.

elliot kaloidis: I'm a painter and have been using staple guns to stretch canvases forever. Every one I've ever used has a tray that pulls out with a spring that forces the staples forward when pushed back in. This one appears to work the same way. But the tray has no spring and if you look VERY closely at the tiny print on the tray, you'll find the message "do not load staples here." Well, I didn't see this until I received my second stapler because the first one didn't work the way it appeared it should. I finally figured the staples are loaded at the bottom of the gun, which is very counter intuitive and odd. Wouldn't hurt if Stanley added some instructions to the packaging. Other than that, the product is solid as a rock and works perfectly. Great for the money!

chief jd: Good, solid, metal construction. Easy to load. Works as expected. Does what a well-made stapler is supposed to do. It does take a good bit of pressure to fire a staple. It helps to have your hand positioned to the rear of the handle. Nice that it has a side view staple "window" in order to tell when its time to add more staples Very pleased with this stapler.
