Jessie: The media could not be loaded.  This is great the only thing i wish is that it came with a small window so i can watch the water level instead of having to lift the lid each time. Other than that its awesome and so affirming compared to other fountains AND its stainless steel which is healthier for cats ! Its very quiet and comes with a nice long cord !

Lauren: So why don't my cats like it--or any water fountain for that matter. This is one of several I have gotten from Amazon. And every time it's the same reaction. Fascination for days with an occasional tasting before backing off and coming back and so on. (This, from cats who love to share my bathroom faucet when it is running.) I have tried and tried to get them to use it and nothing seems to work so I have gone back to a glass dish of water--and they are drinking more.

Nevertheless, I highly recommend this. Just because my cats won't use it--though they still enjoy hanging out by it on occasion--doesn't mean anyone else's cats will feel the same. It is a high quality stainless steel fountain that burbles gently to give cats an unthreatening faucet-like experience. Heck, I'd use it were I a cat. And so might yours. It is obviously well designed and well made.

One thing you should watch and that is if you have anything but the softest water (and, heck, maybe even then) is that the minerals in the water may cause a build-up of something you can feel and see on the fountain. It's certainly not dangerous but it cannot be gotten rid of by merely washing it. You will need to...

Amazon Customer: I love this so much and was reasonably priced. However it completely stopped working after 5 months with regular cleaning and filter changes. Maybe something else I am missing I see some others have problems with the pump?

Donna: I have had other water fountains, but this one is by far my favorite. It is easy to clean and easy to fill. It also holds a significant amount of water. Now, I have to admit a certain level of stupidity. I bought this same fountain a year or so ago and it recently stopped working, so I bought another one. In reading the directions from the new box, I realized that the pump comes completely apart for cleaning. I had cleaned the outside of it and used the little twizzler to clean what I couldn't reach, but I hadn't taken it completely apart to clean it. Once I saw the instructions, I took the old pump apart, cleaned it, and put it back together. It worked! I think I'll keep the second one and put it in another room since they love this one. Highly recommend!

Real food matters: My dogs love this fountain. It is easy to put together, easy to clean, easy to change the filters, and easy to refill. It doesn't have an auto-off when the water falls low, so I just keep an eye on it. I give my dogs fresh water every day anyway - and this is big enough for my two 45 lbs dogs to drink from all day without needing a refill. It is easy to put in the dishwasher when necessary -
I love the sound water makes - it has the same noise as a desktop fountain - and the pump is a similar size. Very pleased with this purchase!
