Woof: The media could not be loaded.  If you do your reading you’ll see that you can’t just replace your cats original water source with the fountain.

I placed the fountain next to his water bowl and kept it that way for a month, he would only use his bowl and then slowly gained interest in the fountain. Now I’ve gotten rid of the bowl and he loves his water fountain! I wash it weekly as my cat is weird about things being kept clean and I have a hairy and dusty free-roam rabbit (which is the reason for gates around the baseboards and wire protection)

I 100% recommend, I went from cleaning and filling his bowl everyday to now once a week :)

There is a VERY subtle/soft hum but it doesn’t bug me because I have a fish tank in the same room that does the same, but I guess if you want absolute silence know that it does have a quiet hum

Walter Trachsel: I absolutely love this water fountain, I bought 2. My cats love it too. Super easy to clean. The only downside is like other cat fountains it doesn’t have an area where it shows you how low the water is. I’ve found out that I usually need to refill it every 2-3 days depending on how much my cats have drank.

BrigBrig: This is a great fountain! Because it's all metal and no plastic it doesn't get all green and gross like other fountains so it's very easy to clean. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I wish the wire was tucked in so that it would come out from under instead of at the top as my cats occasionally like to tug on it which removes the top of the fountain. It's also very quiet unless the water level goes low you can hear the water trickle, which isn't a big deal. Once it's filled up high it's completely quiet.

SnowAngel: I bought this for my two cats. They love drinking out of the bathroom sink faucet, so I thought this is the closest thing.
The fountain is super quiet and easy to clean. I clean it throughly once a week and replace the filters every month. I only use filtered or bottled water in it. They absolutely love it.

A key point is to check the water level at least every other day or everyday depending on how many animals are using the fountain. The pump will fail without enough water.
I find that my cats have increased their water intake from when they just had a bowl of water.

So far I have had zero issues with this fountains function or cleaning.

John: This Water fountain is deserving of all the great reviews from happy customers.
I knew it was an excellent fountain prior to ordering which is why I purchased but was even more impressed after I received it.
The dual spout has many advantages over a single spout as it contacts the entire surface area leaving no dry discoloured spots. It aerates the water much better and is always crystal clear thanks to the carbon filter.
The pressure is just right and does not splash outside of the unit unless your cat starts dipping their paws in it but they prefer to drink from the spout anyway. It's also great for multiple pets as in our case with 2 cats and 1 dog and promotes more drinking which is a great for your pet's health and avoiding the onset of early kidney disease or urinary issues. Lastly it's so quiet that at times you feel it's not on. Although it does not have a viewing window to see where the water level is at you will notice when it gets low as the water flowing back into the tank starts being audible which is your cue to fill it up. It's also a nice not having to fill up a water bowl daily due to stagnant water, in my case I'm filling my new water fountain every 5...

K: I recommend this fountain. You can't hear it making noise at all unless it's running low on water, and even then you just hear water, you never hear a motor or annoying humming/buzzing/etc. I usually fill it up all the way and don't need to touch it for about a week. I have two cats, and I think it suggests to clean it every two weeks, but I clean it every week and it's fast, like 5 minutes, and simple. You can also stretch use of the filter to last a little longer than the pamphlet says, as long as you rinse it out really well each time you clean the fountain. I can only think of two downsides:

1. The little bottlebrush that comes with the fountain to clean the metal spout is too short; I had to use one I already had that came with some metal straws I bought a long time ago. Also, because of the bends in the spouts, even if you adjust the wire on the brush, you don't feel like you're getting it all the way clean, so I just rinse it thoroughly.

2. The "nightlight" that is built in got super dim after a few weeks, but honestly, that light was just a surprise when I saw it and isn't very important to me, personally.

Bobby: The setup is minimal. The instructions are straight forward. You're given a small little brush to clean out the pipes. Only complaint I have is how often you might have to replace the filters. I might attempt to see how much the cats drink from the thing once the filters are no good. My cats like to shed a lot and sometimes I have to change the water every 3 to 4 days because of the backup in the black sponge filter.

Still it makes next to no sound. All 3 of my cats drink from it. The kitten likes to baptize herself under the running water for some hilarious reason but also drinks from the fountain. I'd say it's a success and would recommend it to anyone that wants a water station that's off the ground and doesn't eat up a ton of space.

Note: use a zip tie to keep the power cable bunched up so you don't get cord everywhere.
