David Zaldivar: The previous vent was plastic and it crumbled in my hands. This one is nice and solid.
Only complaint is no insulation.

Elizabeth A. Cancelmo: Looks great, easy to install and excellent quality. We were replacing another plastic one, which crack & crumble ebery few years. I wanted metal / stainless steel, but was worried about it being noisy based on some reviews I read BUT -- It does NOT rattle or make any noise at all! Vents lift open maybe halfway and stay up the whole time while the dryer is running. I would definitely recommend this item and would purchase again.

Chris H.: The fins are too heavy restricting the flow of the dryer vent. I added a screen small mesh piece and turned upside down and works better.
