Stainless Steel Bento Cat Water Fountain with 2-Way Spout

Chris Z.: Its been just over a year and a half, and this has been a decent fountain for my cats. My only real complaint up to this point has been that it seems like the filters fit so loosely in the holder that I doubt they're doing much filtering. I assume that much of the water is probably just flowing around the edges of the filter. Today, or probably last night, however, the pump quit working. But the problem isn't the pump, but rather the USB power adapter that came with the unit. I wondered when I got it how long that adapter might last, since it appeared to be a poor quality adapter. I'd never use it for any of my electronics, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else do so either. Anyway, I just grabbed one of the several I have in a drawer and the pump is working fine again. I wonder if the reviews that complain that their pump died early are more likely due to the USB adapter. How many people would think to check that?
Overall I think I'd still recommend this fountain. Just be mindful of the fact that the power adapter isn't great and is likely to fail. And definitely don't use it to charge your phone or any other expensive electronics.

TheRecyclerTheRecycler: The only con I had is that the carbon filter at the drain was pretty lacking in the little carbon pellets. This was easily fixed by buying a 32 pack of each filter. Didn't cost more than this product to get stocked with the carbon and pump filters. Really cheap as changing the filters would cost 50 cants at a time every 2 weeks. Otherwise the pump filter is up to par with other brand pump filters. Pump works great and is dead silent. Can't even hear the water splashing with the plastic dual faucet attachment. It gets rinsed out once or twice a week as in about 3 days the water level is low with 3 cats drinking and I'd say this, drinking much better than from a bowl. They go through the half of gallon in that time. Some residue can stick but it's so simple to rinse out or clean. Much better than plastic! Little bonus here, it comes with a proper ETL rated phone charger to power the pump! Heck of a deal for this product. Never had it overflow and make a mess.

Charmed: I have been searching high and low for a water fountain that wasn't hard to put together, wasn't hard to clean, the filters were not super expensive, it wasn't poorly made and the cost wasn't through the roof. It was a tall bill, so it took me some time and research. After dealing with the tediousness of another water fountain that is currently in the garage collecting dust, I decided to try again. I wanted my little cat to get enough water in her diet, and noticed she loves playing with the water faucets in our home. Studies show that cats drink more from fresh sources of water, free flowing basically, so, I wanted to give it another go versus refilling her little water bowl every day with Spring water, that she barely touched.

I took this baby out of the box, and had it up and running in less than 7 minutes. It would have taken less time actually, but you need to soak the new filter in water for 5 minutes, so there's that. I found this very easy to assemble, and clean up doesn't look too bad at all! Best of all, my cat took right to it and is enjoying it. It is super quiet, too. SkuggalypantsSkuggalypants: The media could not be loaded.  Let me preface my review with my experiences with another fountain. I've been using a Drinkwell 360 stainless steel water fountain for 4 years now. It was the best stainless steel option I could find when I was living overseas so I purchased it again when I moved back to the US. My circumstances changed in that I went from 2 cats to 5 so I bought two fountains. Wow...what a difference a few extra cats make! Quickly the fountains were becoming a major chore to keep clean and maintain. The exposed water was constantly getting filthy with dirt and tiny bugs. There are so many tiny components and crevices in which mold can and did grow. I found myself dreading cleaning the fountain which I needed to do frequently otherwise mold would build up! Disgusting! I also found it awkward to wash and some parts were near impossible to clean properly. I always felt bad that I wasn't cleaning it out as well as I'd like to for my kitties to have the best and cleanest experience. The fountain was good with only two cats but it wasn't sustainable anymore.
