The SportRack SR4883 Upshift Roof Mount Upright Bike Carrier is the perfect choice for cyclists looking for a reliable and easy-to-install bicycle car rack. With its superior build quality and value for money, this SportRack product is sure to offer an overall satisfaction for your biking needs.Andy: Ok so it does work but i would not trust the little straps it comes with to hold the wheels on. I would replace them with some type of velco crank strap.

EDIT: GREAT FOR KIDS BIKES, WILL NOT FIT ADULT BIKES. Would not fit mine or my wife's road bikes, she's 5'6" and her bike wouldn't fit. Draw your own conclusions. Great for kid's bikes.
Some reviews say this rack is on the small side. I bought it to mount a 20" kids bike, for which it fits perfectly. The rack is adjustable, so you could lengthen it if needed, but the short roof of my '13 Chevy Volt limited the length (before the hatch hits it). The rack relies on a bunch of overlapping holes, so if you want a longer rack just pick holes that are further apart and slide the bolt through. I test fit an adult's bike before shortening it for my roof, and it seemed like my road bike (6' adult male) would fit fine.
I ordered 2 racks at the same time, *Sportrack and Swagman* - ($48). The Sportrack is noticeably heavier, sturdier, and the overall quality is just better. Its a quality rack with a thick paint job and heavy materials. My Sportrack was an open box ($22!) which claimed it was missing hardware (which I completely missed otherwise I wouldn't have ordered). It arrived partially assembled, in perfect condition, missing no hardware. Win!

We ordered two of these for our 2020 Nissan Rogue. It fits well and holds bikes securely enough for highway driving, although I wouldn't suggest using it off-road. Really nice to be able to carry bikes while keeping the back hatch accessible. Not so handy if you're short, or if you have a tall vehicle.
One of our units arrived with a broken Frame Clamp Knob, but the return was quick and easy with a replacement arriving in four days. Initial delivery only took three days. Assembly instructions are good, but you'll need your own #2 or #3 Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm wrench or socket. The bike is held upright by just two 6mm screws, so make sure you install them right!
The locking Frame Clamp Knob is a good anti-theft feature, but for leaving it unattended for more than a few minutes, a simple M6x1.0 locking knob for the rack mounts would improve security. It is also very easy to put a cable lock through your bike and roof rails. As for loading and unloading bikes, prop the support arms up at a 45* angle, put the front wheel of the bike in first, reposition the support arm as necessary, then pivot the back of the bike into position.

Harun CiftciHarun Ciftci: Very easy to put together and very sturdy. I did not use the small straps given with the rack instead I used my ratchet straps.

Amazon Customer: With most things from China you always get the same thing. Theres always one thing...the most crucial thing that needs to work and then fails. The knob you use to tighten the swing arms, "the device your suppose to lock...well they didn't bother to thread it properly so now when you go to tighten it down to hold your bike in place it strips out. This happened to me the very first time I was tighting it down thinking when the bike is still moving around I must need to tighten it down further then like that it strips. By looking inside the device they could of threaded the entire think but decided a half inch was all that was needed. Great device, great price, just doesn't work.

Well, I just unboxed my SportRack Upshift SR4883, I must say I was pleased with the shipping and packaging. Everything I needed to install it on my 2017 Nissan Rogue was included. Assembly, while tedious, was simple. Everything seems well-made and the bike is very secure. As this is day one with the product, I cannot provide details about reliability and/or durability. I will be sure to update if I have any problems, I suspect I won’t. Very pleased with this purchase. Oh, and if you look at my photos you will notice I have a 29er....So if you were curious as to if it would fit, it does. If I had to give it one negative critique, the tire straps are a bit weak. They don’t seem to get too tight. I will probably just change them out for something better.
UPDATE 05.10.2019 - I have been using this product for over a month now, it truly is an excellent product in my opinion! I’ve had no issues whatsoever. I’ve hauled two different size mountain bikes with no issues.

Isaac O'Brien: I drove 3000 miles across the United States traveling at 80 mph and this held both my bikes great the whole way. The locks we're difficult to figure out originally but they do work. These racks are slightly short which concerned me for the ability to hold the bikes but it worked just fine.

****UPDATE****
I've downgraded the rating from a 4 star to 3. The plastic clamp did, in fact, scratch up the down tubes of my bike. Installed some clear film to the tubes to protect it, and it cut right through the film. I plan to add some rubber to the clamp to help. I did talk to Thule/SportRack, they were very polite, but just told me that was how it was and that there are no plans to rectify the problem. Other than this, what I've said below still holds true,
******************
Rack holds the both my 54cm Trek road bike and my 17.5" Diamondback Overdrive Comp (27.5") very solidly on my Thule roof rack. Even on the highway at 70mph, the bikes didn't budge. A larger mountain bike may have a hard time fitting as the arms may not be long enough to reach the down tube. But so far so good for my two bikes.
Two things to consider: The instructions are a bit lacking and show a couple of things going on incorrectly, so you need to use your brain a little to figure out how it goes. Not a big deal to someone who can figure things out themselves, you almost don't need the instructions. The other thing is that the plastic pieces that...
