Alexandra Kontis: This camera was very easy to install and set up. It sends notifications as soon as there is motion and has a rotation feature which is great allowing you to see around your property. The picture is very clear. And it allows you to record on the iCloud or on a SD card. I bought 2 of them got them for the front and back of my home. It charges on solar so no need to have extension cords or installing near a plug. Worth every penny. Highly recommend!

I am not connected with Soliom nor compensated for my reviews.​ I use products in my real-world experience and tell you, good or bad, what I think of them. I don't do unboxings or lists of functions and features or fancy videos, you can get that elsewhere. I tell you why I bought something and if it satisfies my need or not.

My use case: I watch wildlife in my yard on video. I am disabled, in a wheelchair, and live in snow country... the mountains of north-central PA. I can't easily get out to my backyard on a good day and in the snowy/muddy months I cannot get out there at all. I need a remotely-operated video system that allows me to watch wildlife attracted to my backyard deer feeder. A system that is set-and-forget, meaning no trips to do maintenance. In bad weather once I set up a camera in the Fall I often cannot get back to it until Spring due to mud. If any part of the system fails it will have to wait until the ground dries in late March before I can get my wheelchair back to that location, so I need dependability...

I have purchased several of the Soliom cameras for on & around my house. My property is ~17,000 sq ft, so as a result some of the cameras are 100 ft from the wifi extenders or more, and they still work quite reliably. Ymmv, however if you have a strong 2.4g signal you should be ok.

I have a mix of the S90 units and the S600 units. I prefer the newer model as it has a slightly wider field of vision (even while stationary), the option for night vision or flood light, and of course the pan & tilt feature. The S600 also seems to adapt to lighting conditions upon user wakeup better than the S90.

Soliom recommends that you charge the unit fully before installation, however when installing one of these I did not notice that the device was only at 50% until after it was mounted. Still, in only partial shade and with daily use, it charged to full using only the sun in less than a week. The company also makes users update to the new Soliom+ version of the app, which seems annoying since 1) they...
