Irving Cruz: Ademas de ser esteticamente agradable, la calidad de el producto es muy buena. Recomiendo comprarla, a veces hay que afilar con regularidad pero jamas se oxida y da muchas horas de batalla.

Keegan Brian: I use this product all the time for splitting wood (small stuff c'mon this aint an ax) and other odd cutting jobs I need done. I never go backpacking without it. Its probably heavier than some alternatives but totally worth the weight in my opinion. Excellent quality and life. I keep a metal file in my camping stuff and just clean up the edge before going on a trip. Holds an edge well and does a good job.

Rog: First off I bought this piece because of the beauty of the axe head design, and possibly to throw around in the yard. I have thrown it around and the handle has some wobble to it, I attempted to tighten it but it still wobbled a bit by design. The head is cast which is how they got the logo in, I find that interesting. It is indeed tough, I threw it bad once and it bounced on the road twice, but I couldn't find any damage or even a scratch. Overall, it's a good buy in my opinion you get more than you pay for at the $38 I paid.

Mark MelnykMark Melnyk: The tomahawk itself is incredible quality and very solid, you can be very hard on it. However the fastening button that keeps the sheath closed is made of plastic and broke off immediately when I tried to open in, I would suggest SOG use a metallic fastener for better product quality. Other than the fastener the sheath is excellent quality as well and you can go hard on it too. In my picture I show the broken fastener which snapped off while I tried to open it.

firefuzz: When I bought this hawk I already owned a SOG FastHawk, which I had bought primarily as a throwing hawk which it excels at. I was interested in the longer cutting edge, more aggressive bottom "hook", and pommel on the VooDoo hawk as a fighting/survival hawk and to see if it could be thrown as easy as the FastHawk. The hawk cuts well right out of the package although a little sharpening greatly improved this and I did reshaped the contour on the piercing point to increase penetration, all in all about 30 minutes work with a stone and file. The hawk throws well, after you get used to the pommel sliding thru your hand and removal of the pommel, quite easy, improved this ability but unless throwing is your primary use for this hawk I'd leave it on as it provides for a much more secure grip when performing other jobs with it.
This hawk is almost indestructible with over 300 throws into and against the butt end of a 26" log, not all of them stuck as intended, with no loosening of the handle or damage to the blade. The short handle makes it easy to pack in almost any method you choose and still provides striking power for any job you would choose this type of tool for. It chops...

EmmaEmma: Nicely weighted, feels sturdy and strong. Blades are sharp, and I'm excited to use it. The only issue is that as soon as I unbuttoned the case for the first time, the button fell apart and can now not close. Hadn't even had it out of the package for 5 minutes before that happened!
In the end, I didn't but this for the case, so I can't be too bummed out. Still a good buy!

Hardrock: Awesome tomahawk, very well made, looks fantastic, a real collector piece. I won't be throwing mine but you could very effectively. The chopper head on this is a different look from the SOG Fasthawk and the spike is also a little different. I really like the look of this model, to me it feels better balanced as I have the Fasthawk as well. I do prefer the head on this one, the cutting surface is longer and their is a little more weight in the chopping action as the head is solid. Great tool or weapon whatever your personal preference you will have a good secure grip with this for throwing, breaching a door or as a close quarter combat weapon. I prefer this one from the all black one because I like the contrast, the shiny steel against the black handle. It comes wit a head cover, not much to say about that other than it encases and protects the head whether you're carrying it externally or in a pack, I have a few hawks and they are all about the same, can't say as I've seen a really effective belt mount carry system yet. Overall, a very good addition to your general equipment list or just a great display item.

JDRanger: I had originally rated this as a 5 star but now that I've used it in more situations I can't rate it is a top product.
The hatchet (axe, tomahawk..) is great. I use it for trail clearing so it gets plenty of hard use. It is very light weight and works great.
It's arrived very sharp and the blade is designed so it works well with standard knife sharpeners.
The problem is the sheath. When I carry the axe on my belt I position it just behind the midpoint of the side of my waist. This way it doesn't get in the way when I'm walking and doesn't get caught up in bushes or branches.
It's extremely hard for me to get the hawk back in the sheath - this is due to poor design and the fact that it is made from pretty cheap and flimsy material.
I've now cut myself 6 times while struggling to get it back into the holder - the handle slides into the hole just fine but the sharp end of the product doesn't easily fit back into the "pocket". I'm pretty sure this would not be a problem had SOG not scrimped so much on the quality of the sheath and used a better (stiffer) material or designed a form factor that worked better in the real world (I don't think it's...
