K. WilsonK. Wilson: Fun lights! I do like the concept and the tap & dimming features, but for two minor issues-- it is difficult to twist-open the battery compartment by hand because the fit for the backing plate is so tight that I needed the help of a screwdriver to prompt the slide to open it. (The open/close slide direction is clearly marked with arrows, which is helpful.) Once the batteries were installed, I noticed that one of the (6) LED bulbs on one of the three tap-lights wasn't working (see photos), which at first was frustrating. However both Amazon and SOAIY stepped up and provided a replacement set, to my satisfaction. Because of the good customer service from them both, I have edited this review to give the product 4 stars. As for the usefulness of the lights, I have them placed throughout different locations in our RV van and find them both fun and useful, and even attractive, especially given their slim & tidy profile. The magnetic feature (along with the supplied slender, adhesive-backed metal 'rounds' for placement on non-metallic surfaces) is a real plus also, allowing for easy placement and removal for battery access. They offered a full refund due to my disappointment with the product. I changed my rating to 4 stars because while the product didn't meet expectations, the company/people behind the product were willing to listen and resolve my issues with the refund.

I've had these lights (warm white) for about 2 weeks and I am already on my second batch of AAA batteries. I noticed one of them beginning to dim moreso than the other two, so i tried new batteries and it lit back up to full brightness, however, the remaining two did the same thing about a day later. Put new batteries in and as good as new.

Which is the problem. I estimated i only got about approx. 20 hours out of these lights before having to replace the batteries. I've seen multiple reviews stating the same thing, so while this product actually has a great form-factor (size, weight, tap-touch, dimmable, etc), they should really only be designated as "emergency lights" because they only last about as long as a flashlight would last.

Don't expect these to serve as any kind...

After leaving my original 1-star review (unchanged below), the manufacturer reached out to me. They very politely asked if I would be willing to try the product again, as they believed I must have received defective units given the content of my review. I was skeptical: what are the odds that all three units I received were malfunctioning in the same manner? However, the seller asked nicely and I always support manufacturers / sellers who stand behind and believe in their products, so I obliged and was willing to give it another try.

My experience with the second set of lights was completely different. The touch pads responded immediately to my touch, dimmed / brightened when I was touching the pad and stopped adjusting when I removed my finger. Even better, I didn't realize the lights retain the last light level they were set to and come back on at that level each time until the level is changed (the dimmer never worked reliably on the first set for me to find this out).

I have updated my review to 4-stars. This would be a 5-star review but for the hassle of returning the defective units, so I'm dinging it one star. This is a convenient...
