Madame Escargot: I've used these in a dark closet, dark hallway, for walking the dog or for guests to use to find the bathroom in the dark. I have not installed mine but keep them around for various purposes and they are fabulous.

Mary L. Kowalski: They are BRIGHT for sure, but they eat the batteries. Had one up (via magnets) and left it on all night (bugs), forgetting it. Next day, it was out. These. IMHO, are for SHORT term carry around emergencies. Not to leave on all night. So, not sending them back, just using in Emrgncy. Will leave kitchen sink lite on again. I have mine on the fridge with EXTRA MAGNETS because if you use their sticky tape, you won't be able to remove it and use it elsewhere. The MAGNETS ON THE LIGHT are RECESSED by a small, but irritating ""box"", letting the sticky tape do the work of holding, but without the sticky tape, the magnets won't stick to the fridge BY THEMSELVES because of the ""box"" that won't let the magnet touch the fridge because of being recessed. GOT IT?

Shelly Hurst: I bought 8 of these lights. We have them distributed throughout our home for when we have bad storms and the power goes out. We didn't put the batteries in but they are with each light, for when we need them. Candles work but they put out smoke which stains ceilings and are bad for your lungs. These little lights are safe and can be carried around the house with you, unlike the candles which have the chance of spilling wax or being burned. I love this product!
