This tuner performs accurately and easy. After removing the battery protection tab, the tuner is ready for use. The battery replacement compartment is easily accessible. I like the on-off switch at the metal SNARK logo on the face. The side button allows for switching between Mic (microphone - I can sing into it or play piano) and Vib (vibration - I clip it on my clarinet bell). The readout is large, has bright colors, and clearly indicates the tuning pitch and note name. I like the garnet red iridescent color of the tuner, glowing but not showy. I find this inexpensive gadget easier to read at a glance while I am playing than a tuning app on my phone.

As a singer/songwriter I was looking for something more than a cheap guitar tuner that I was never sure my guitar and bass were ever in tune.
This tuner is spot on!! My guitars are spot on in tune before I play every time!

I've bought a few of these snark tuners over the years (for people playing guitars and also for violin), and the most recent one so far seems to be the best, the ST-2 multi/all instrument tuner. There used to be an issue in previous versions with the plastic part that holds the head and allows it to swivel breaking, making the item useless for vibration tuning and not very convenient for viewing as you couldn't clip it onto anything anymore.
This tuner has an upgraded design with a ring around those plastic prongs that will hopefully prevent that from happening with use when swiveling the head around.
The older one I had also had an issue with the red color coming off and transferring to your fingers or other things over time, not sure what caused that. So far this one seems to have a different finish, so maybe that won't happen.
The display is very bright, easy to read, and the tuning is accurate. The battery life seems good, as before.

Afina por semitonos en cualquier instrumento de cuerdas. Principalmente lo uso para bajo, guitarra y jarana jarocha. Y todo excelente!
Eso si, no lo dejen prendido o se les baja rápido la batería. (Para quienes acostumbran a tocar todo el rato con el afinador encendido "por si se les desafina algo")

It presents the tuning quickly and clearly and responds rapidly to any adjustments to string tension.
Looks as if I will want to buy 2-3 more to fit to all my guitars!
