Smoke Your Favorite Meats with the Mountain Grillers Smoker Box for Wood Chips

F. Babcock: I only gave this a 3 star rating since I was unable to keep the wood chips lit in my Traeger (don't hate). I tried to add in some extra smoke for a pork butt, but the wood chips kept on going out. I suspect I won't have an easy time with this on my smoker, and I'll have to give it a shot on my gas grill to see if it works there. But for now, leaving this as a 3 star review.

Momof2wins: Got this to use with any non-smoker grill (charcoal or propane) so we don't need to lug the Traiger smoker along on camping outings.

T. KELLY: I recently purchased a webber bbq which is built for cooking with the lid on. Woodchip smoke longer in the tin. Very happy with my smoker box.

Wonkster Dude: Does as it says on the smoker box lol! Sturdy & well made. Used today for a brisket and put a couple hand fulls of hickory chips inside then dipped the box into water to soak the chips. Worked a treat. Big holes let plenty of sweet hickory smoke out. Recommended

Beer Boy1953: Holds enough wood for a good smoke. Heavy duty, not flimsy like many others. Put it right on the burner and it adds great smoke to the rotisserie. Made a great roast beef.

Kindle Customer: This smoker box is a sturdy well made piece. I'm using it with Apple wood chips sitting directly on lump charcoal. After a handful of uses there is some slight discoloration but that's it the box has retained it's size and shape. If you are new to smoking my advice is to try out several methods and tools to find what works best for you in this case my method with this smoker box works best. Big ups Mountain Grillers

Joe Clark: I have used this smoker box probably 15 times on both gas and charcoal as well as three times for smoking meat at 200-230° for 3-6 hours, refilling every 15-20 minutes. Yes it did warp as it will if you put it across the heat unevenly, but I reversed it the next time. If you want one that won't warp get cast iron and then deal with the rust. I am very pleased with it and plan to use it often, and from what I see so far, for a long time.

Constitutionalist: It takes a while to get it smoking. You'll want to leave the lid open for about 7 minutes once the wood is lit. Perhaps the wholes are too small, because it stops smoking after only a few minutes if you don't leave the lid open.
