RickRick: Good weight, great to throw, excellent for beginners no matter how close or far. Head to handle will stick to the wood. One axe has a chip in it doesn't affect the throw or deter from what it does. That broke while throwing. DID NOT come broke.
Bought these with the SOG axes. SOG is lighter takes more experience to throw them. Once you get it down with them, then you can hit the board faster and harder. Smaller head to hit the target.

All round, these are great for beginners. Weight, solid, one piece, beer bottle opener.

Joseph Collins: Alright these ….. are the first set of throwers I’ve bought on Amazon that are entirely worth anything. Let these be the standard of what knives should be. They’re thick and very sturdy. They’ve got some weight so expect your throws to have more stopping power. These are very dangerous when they ricochet so def wear some protection and advise whoever may be around about them. They’re black so I would get something to make them bright colored so you don’t lose them and lastly your not going to want to stick these into 3/4 plywood as it’s very damaging on the knives

Cphp: We've had a blast using the Smith & Wesson 8in Throwing Axes and knives! They're well-made, and my son and I enjoy practicing our throwing skills. Kindle-Kunde: Wie Gesagt: Man bekommt, was man dafür bezahlt.
Wenn man von der eher Grenzwertigen Verarbeitung der Kanten absieht (die sowiso ständig mal bearbeitet werden müssen), bekommt man 3 Messer, die gut fliegen, und dank der schmal zugeschliffenen Spitze auch noch gut stecken bleiben.

Die Spitze bricht oder biegt sich bei Fehlwürfen oder Metall auf Metall schnell mal. Lässt sich gerade noch verschmerzen, da dies in meinem Fall (mit kleiner Selbstreparatur) keine Auswirkung auf die Nutzbarkeit hatte.
Die Bohrung und die Langlöcher reduzieren das Gewicht (was bei diesen sowiso recht leichten Messern schlecht ist), dienen als Schwachstellen und sammeln bei jedem Fehlwurf eine ganze Menge Dreck
(-> nicht im Garten nutzen....oder ständig putzen).
Thema Fehlwurf: Bei einem Treffer auf den Seitenkanten oder gar der Plattseite machen die Messer einen solchen Lärm, das nicht nur die Nachbarn sondern auch der ganze Ort weis, das man verkackt hat.

Zu all dem kommt hinzu, dass die Messer zu leicht sind: Nach Artikelbeschreibung sollten die Messer
ca. 226g wiegen (680,39g /3). Meine Waage zeigt aber nur 187,irgendwas g.

Incredible durable: I’ve had a blast the past 4 to 5 months with this knife and never has it broken yet to this day I will say though the tip you have to shape it after you’ve thrown it multiple times I would say I’ve probably thrown it at the board 5000 times a day. And have had no problems at all

CharlesCharles: Bought this product a few weeks ago for a camping trip that happened last week. They had not been used beforehand. I can only speak on the axes as the knives remain unused. All that being said, the axes were very nice, uniform, and balanced. They work very well for their intended use. However, the handle edges are very sharp and tend to leave something akin to a paper cut on your hands and fingers. They also appear to sliver as just this morning, my son discovered that the cut on his thumb from throwing was actually a sliver of metal just a bit longer than a quarter inch embedded in the pad of the thumb. Neither of us work with metal like that and we were in the woods when we were throwing. I haven’t been able to find the exact spot on an axe that the sliver came from, but it does appear that it came from one of the axe handles. Other than that, I was very pleased with them and intend to use them again - only next time with gloves

Alexander Ritzenhoff: Die Messer kommen mit einem praktischen schwarzen Nylonholster um diese sicher am Gürtel zu tragen oder zu verwahren wenn man sie nicht benutzt. Sind recht stabil, auch Würfe mit voller Wucht überstehen die Messer falls sich diese mal treffen. Ich habe diese Messer nun seit knapp 2 Monaten im Einsatz und bin sehr zufrieden. Sie eignen sich für alle gängigen Techniken, jedoch habe ich sie gekauft um das No-Spin Throwing zu lernen und dafür eignen sie sich auf bis jetzt 2-5 m ziemlich gut. Dies erfordert jedoch etwas Übung und gelingt mir auch noch nicht immer bei jedem Wurf. Mit der Zeit wird man jedoch besser und entwickelt ein Gefühl dafür. Dann macht das Messerwerfen sehr viel Spaß und allein das dumpfe metallische Geräusch wenn sich die Spitze ins Holz bohrt ist bei jedem Treffer sehr befriedigend. Ich habe nur 2 Kritikpunkte: 1. Brechen die Spitzen ( also wirklich die ersten 1-2mm der Spitze) relativ schnell ab. Dies ist aufgrund des leichten Schliffs jedoch nicht weiter schlimm. Ähnlich wie ein Beil muss die Klinge nicht wirklich scharf sein, Gewicht und Geschwindigkeit bei normalen Würfen reichen aus Damit diese 2-3cm tief im Holz stecken bleiben, selbst wenn...
