Kindle Customer: I am using this inside a stray cat shelter;I had a extra piece I put on my computer chair and Imust say it certainly keeps the bum warm! I would totally use this for indoor pet beds as well as it is easy to cut to size and easy to wipe off. So along with some straw to absorb wetness from snow I think this lining the walls ,ceiling & bedding of the shelter will work great!

Lauren M: Used a 48x10 roll to make my own window shades for a camping trip. Was great for privacy and helped keep the heat out as to keep my coolers cold. I made a front windshield cover, a rear window cover, both front side windows and then also 2 smaller rear windows for the trunk area, all with 1 roll.
this is NOT bubble wrap reflective garbage, this is foam insulated reflective material which is BETTER.

Doug BDoug B: My mom lives out in the southern California desert and in this current heatwave it is typically 100 to 110 degrees outside. She has a 46" x 46" single pane glass window that is facing the sun a good portion of the day in the front of the house. Even though there is an awning outside the window, it still gets some direct sunlight and gets very hot. She had a thin piece of tinted film and some cardboard hanging in front of the window which probably helped a tiny bit but I heard about these types of reflective insulation and thought I would try some of this to put over the window to see if it worked any better.
She needs to be able to take it down, so I cut a piece and folded over the top and put several wide washers with a nut and bolt through the insulation so I could hang it right against the window with a spring loaded curtain rod. I felt how hot it was in front of the window with the thin film hanging and came back the next day after this new insulation was installed in front of the window and the difference was night and day. It is pretty thin at only three millimeters but it definitely cut down the heat level very noticeably.
It does come in a roll, so it took...

Hiking DudeHiking Dude: Wow. I can't believe how well this works. We installed this in our hottest room. We frequently turn on A/C in this room because it scorches in direct sunlight during the day, and the room is situated above the garage. During the night, the rising heat doesn't help with the cooling process.
Then we installed this. It would be like over 90 degrees outside all day. But the room stays cool in mid-70s throughout the day. And we never turn on A/C in this room anymore. I'm fact, my mum uses the blanket bc it's too cold for her. Unbelievable. I know.
When the temperature goes above 100, the room rises to low to mid 80s. Maybe high 80s if the temperature rises higher than normal. We turn the AC on for 30 minutes, turn it off, and the room stays cool for wayyyyyyyyyyyy longer than before.
I am attaching a photo to show what a big difference this makes. It's 97 degrees outside right now at 3:30 p.m. clear skies. But my room temperature is 74.8 degrees. I expect the temperature to rise to low 80s as the day passes by, but look at this huge difference.
This $15 product will save me about $350 in electricity bills this summer. We'll worth the investment.

ChristinaChristina: We have another heat wave coming in CA so I purchased this product to help keep the heat out. Instead of using aluminum foil over the windows, I wanted something more practical and that can be reused when summer is over. I already have blinds and room darkening insulated curtains. While it does keep it cooler in the house, one side of my house gets the sun during the hottest part of the day - my kitchen and part of my living room wall. On an 80 degree day, the surface temp on that wall is 130 degrees. While the surface temp was 130 degrees, the insulated window was registering at 74 degrees.
The pros from day 2 of covering all the windows: it’s 91 degrees and the AC didn’t turn on until almost 4 pm. It stayed under 75 in the house until then. As you can see from one of the pictures, it still allows some light even though it’s placed behind closed blinds and room darkening insulated curtains. But it’s still pretty dark in the house.
The cons: It’s pretty dark in the house and my husband who can’t see in the dark will now have a legit reason to turn on all the lights - all day long, lol.
Minus one star as the listing states the product is 48” in height and 50...

Sprint180: I bought this to put in my camper windows. I just cut to size and slipped it behind the blinds that were already there. It stays in place by itself. I am amazed at how much heat it keeps out of the camper. My sister was impressed also and is getting some for hers.
