Christina Barber: We purchased this to aid in cooling our camper down. We cut and placed the material on all windows of our 35' travel trailer. It DOES work to keep the temperature down, but we are noticing that we can't seem to find anything that will keep it secured in place. Overall it is great. We just have to continue to man-over the areas around that tend to fall. This could very well be user error :)

Mark: I bought this to supplememt my 3-season sleeping pad for colder weather. I cut a sheet to go between my pad and sleeping bag and a smaller piece for inside my bag, and even lined my camp shoes (old pair of slippers). During the night, the temperature unexpectedly dropped to around 19 degrees. With my 20 degree comfort-level sleeping bag and R-2 rated sleeping pad, I was worried, but I kept relatively warm through the night.

I know it isn't its intended use, but it was a life saver (or at least a really horribly cold night saver) for this backpacker!

A. FowlerA. Fowler: My new place is set up with no divider between the stove and fridge. When using the oven, my refrigerator would soar to 45-47 degrees Fahrenheit inside! It would take a while to cool back off, too, endangering everything in it.
This reflective material is lightweight, nontoxic, and just the ticket for this application.
It was *exactly* the right width, shipped in a roll with no folds or creases, which made installation super easy! I just measured the height and cut it off with scissors. I also ordered a $3 pack of double-sided sticky dots to affix it to the fridge and they worked perfectly.
It’s been a few weeks, and even with the stove top going *and* the oven running at 425, the interior of the fridge never budges over 36-37. Fantastic!

Kim, Texas: I purchased 5 rolls of reflectix for my 5th wheel windows. Prior to installing my rv ac struggled to keep up in our recent, stupid hot, Texas heat and the air temperature was noticbly warm. After, WOW what a difference. I immediately felt cool air and one of the massive super slides facing SW gets direct sun for 3 or 4 hours in the late afternoon and just the day before I installed radiated heat from 3 feet away & the 8 windows got so hot you couldnt touch them! Its no longer hot!
I cannot get over how well this stuff works...it is thin as others have mentioned, dont let that discourage you, it works! I bought the 24" wide rolls for my application. I secured with velcro that I cut to 1 inch lengths and used hvac tape to attach the piece work I did on a few windows.
I am a believer & highly recommend this product
