The main reason was because she loves to play and I didn’t want her scratching my Boston terrier in the face and hurting him. They didn’t bother her at all and were easy to apply. My only gripe is they send two glues but they’ll dry up after one use unless put in an air tight ziploc, so it can be tedious. I stopped using them after about a month in a half just because I felt they weren’t needed anymore but they served their purpose well!

Isabella B: The negatives: I've ordered these in two different sizes this go round. First shipment months ago was fine, but my cat has grown and needs a mix of both medium and small. The small kit I got this time had 2 opened and empty used glue bottles, no tips and used/missing/mixed sizes of caps. The medium kit had small caps in it. Both are being sent back for a refund. The price also fluctuates as I've noticed, so I will check elsewhere if this is the quality I'm going to get. It's a hassle to return and frustrating when I really need these and cant wait for a replacement to be sent. ***Reason for 3 stars***
The pros: The cleat lock on these is fantastic. Just don't overfill with too much glue. They stay on as long as the caps are allowed to adequatelt dry and bond to the claw. I put a cone (collar of shame) on my cat before these are applied and allow about 20 minutes for them to set. This method keeps Mr. Busy from immediately pulling them all off or running around and loosening them. I know it sounds horrible and he glares at me and pouts for a bit, but those suckers stay on after they've dried. This is the only way I can get them to really stay on for as long as 3-4 weeks. He...

Jan Michel: Brilliant. Brilliant. BRILLIANT! A fantastic alternative to claw removal. We have two cats, one is 3 years old and one is 3 months old. We have now applied these nail covers two times. The furniture and carpets are protected, the nails are easy and quick to apply, after the first application (and tantrum), the nails are completely humane to apply! $10 a year? Very worth it.
The first time, the older cat screamed bloody murder, tried to pull her paws away and in general, had a tantrum. The kitten was also grumpy, but easier to handle. Regardless, both cats were quite easy to apply the nails to. First I snipped off the tips of their claws (the white portion of the claw), then my boyfriend (who was assisting the operation) passed me a claw full of glue. I slipped the claw on, and between 15 to 30 seconds later, the claw was permanent. I didn't have any problems with the glue drying before I could put the claw on. After all of the claws were attached, I held the cats for a couple minutes and released them. They both washed their paws throughly, and we would gently take their paws out of their mouth. After the first night, they no longer felt a need to pick at their new claws....

JW: My cat is between 9-11 pounds. I got the small size because I read a review that said their cat was the same size as mine and that the medium was way too big. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend that. The small size is too small. I trim my cat's claws and put the soft claws on the tips, but that's all they cover really. My cat doesn't like when I put them on because they're a tighter fit so I have to put more effort into sliding them on, which probably isn't comfortable for him because I'm pushing harder than I would have with the medium. They also fall off within a week or couple days because they're not on the whole claw. Stick with the sizing chart for your cat and you should be good! They do their job though, his claws are soft. I will order the medium size next time.
UPDATE: I purchased the red medium soft paws and they do slide on a lot easier, but still seem a little bit big. They hold more glue so it slides around and gets glue on my cat's fur, and then before drying the soft paw has slipped off and glued his claw to his fur which makes it so he can't even bear his claws until the glue breaks up... which makes it impossible for me to put the soft paw on because it...
