PittieMom: Our dog came from the streets and the shelter, and we expect he had to fight for food. When we got him, we used a regular Yeti bowl set we purchased. He would gobble up his 2 cups of dry/wet combo within literally a few seconds. And then he would get sick or have hiccups and diarrhea afterwards. We decided to try the slow feeder bowl and it has worked great. Between this and putting some of his dry food in a snuffle mat, he does a lot better at dinner time and no longer gets sick. The bowl itself is basic plastic, nothing fancy. But it is sturdy. It has dealt with being bit at, dragged around, and put through the dishwasher. it is easy to clean and we haven't had any issues with it. Ended up buying two more to use for travel and back up.

Ev: Absolutely helped our new puppies slow down eating as they were inhaling their food in a regular bowl. As long time dog owners, we know that eating too fast for puppies and dogs can cause stomach upset, as well as possibly flipping their stomach inside which causes them pain and eventually can become Detrimental in old age. We have always had puzzle bowls for our dogs as they work amazing gives them time to think instead of just inhaling food.
