Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: First, I’d like to mention that I had an issue on the USPS end (through no fault of the seller) and he was absolutely amazing in getting back to me and helping me resolve.
Second, as for the product itself, it’s an 11/10. SO easy to install, it took me less than one minute. You can see from the photo that I didn’t measure the window right but even still, the difference is incredible.
So happy with this purchase!

John H.: If your window treatments are tight to the window frame this may take up too much space and it might not fit on both ends.

Texas Buyer: My shades are electric and the motor prevents them from blocking out all the light. I bought one of these tracks to use in one window to test and found it to me extremely easy to install and it really reduces the light around the edges. The magnet also allows for easy removal, when needed, and reinstall action takes seconds. I liked it so much that I bought more for my other bedroom windows.

Anna Fronek: It blocks out 99% of the light. And it is a cheaper option that buying it from a professional company who would charge at least double the price. I wish I found it sooner!

Nancy M Nelson: You know when you succumb to marketing spin and are disappointed with a product? Well this isn't it. It works exactly as promoted. We have brand new windows and new window coverings and were disappointed with the light that comes in the side of our new blinds. Depending on the time of year the light falls directly on my face while sleeping, even with the blinds closed. I tried to live with it, but kept looking for a solution and stumbled on this. We didn't want to damage our new window frames. My husband cut the strips down to size, peeled the tape off the magnet and taped it to the window frame and then magnetically attached the flange piece. The end result looks very professional. I hardly ever write reviews, but this product deserves to be recognized.

James R: The product definitely cuts down on light coming in the sides of blinds. But, not nearly as effectively as they could, and at far too high a price for what you get. Here are some issues (and how to fix them):
1. The magnetic strip that sticks to the wall -- some people say it comes off. I just put mine up, so I haven't experienced that yet, but sounds like a problem.
2. In the real world, walls aren't perfectly flat. The product makes no accomodation for this. What happens is that the magnetic strip that sticks to the wall conforms to the wall's surface, you then (also magnetically) attached the L-shaped part to the magnetic strip on the wall. But, the L part isn't nearly as flexible as the magnetic strip on the wall. So, it doesn't conform where the wall isn't perfectly straight -- gaps are left between the two magnetic strips. These gaps let light in, and they reduce the holding strength of the already-weak magnets.
3. The black paint/dye that is used to absorb light is glossy. So, when you look at is straight on, it looks black and so looks like it would do a good job of absorbing light. But, when light hits it at an angle, the light glares off the surface...

RJ Mecca: These are way overpriced for what you get: I could make something like these for under $20 with corner stripping and magnets. The magnets it came with were weak, and it seemed one had the wrong polarization since the strips wouldn't overlap and stick completely. Another problem is that these will only work if they are sitting flush with your blinds. If your blinds are even 0.5 cm from the strip, light will leak through. In other words, if you have blinds that are mounted a certain way or your window frame has molding that isn't completely flat from window to outer frame, these are useless. I would say that these are ok strictly for roller blinds that have top mounts (NOT side mounts) and are at least 1.5 inches from your window. Otherwise, don't bother.
That said, they do help a bit, but not enough to make the price worth it.

Mary: Our guest room has a wonderful pleated shade window covering but unfortunately the streetlight blares across the street and shines into the room on the slim side edges of the window. These tracks easily block out that light and create a fully dark room, what a great product! Super easy to cut to size and install.
