Ken LyonKen Lyon: The UPS section of the SK600 stopped working within six months. I tried unplugging it, plugging it back in, and hitting the reset button, but nothing worked. I tried to locate a customer service number to see if they can help[, but the only ones I get are in China. I need to return this item.

NdegeNzuri: Needed a basic UPS to give my RAID array enough time to shut down in case of power failure. This unit comes with a USB cable to connect to a RAID array, and the connection to my Synology NAS worked with no hassles. Bright display, sturdy construction. Excellent unit for the price.

streets: I've been reading the negative reviews and waited nearly a year to write my review. Either I got lucky or this is made reasonably well. This has been running as a battery back up to my production studio computer and DAW. I live in Florida where the weather and thunderstorms are furious. That said, this UPS has taken quite a few hits of electric outages/surges over the past 10 months (as recently as this past weekend) and its still going strong never missing a beat. So strong, I'm getting ready to order another one as we are entering the thick of hurricane season because it's proven to be dependable. I did not and will not download the software that comes with it. It's not necessary. Just plug and play. Now after writing this review I just hope I didn't jinx myself!

Jeff Groves: Have been using for one year and have experienced several short power failures. Am only powering my router and running at 25% capacity or less. Just had a power failure today and the UPS died after two minutes! When it was new a year ago, it would last 30 minutes. I’m an electrical engineer and have purchased dozens of large and small UPS systems, so this is not what I would expect. It’s cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Just installed a new battery:

Now it’s working fine again and was able to support a 60 watt load for over two hours (which is better than the original battery when new). Of course, the LiFePO4 is much more expensive than the cheap quality original battery. The LiFePO4 are supposed to last much longer than SLA batteries, so I’ll just have to wait and see how long this one lasts.
