The SiteLite Mag Laser Boresighter is the best choice for Hunting Boresighters. It offers superior accuracy, long-lasting battery life, and reliable build quality, as well as excellent customer support. This boresighter is compatible with a wide range of calibers, from .22 to .50 cal, plus 20 and 12 gauge shotguns. Plus, it comes with a scope leveler that can help you level the crosshairs before boresighting. And as an added bonus, you'll get a free Muley Crazy DVD featuring a massive 255" Muley taken by SiteLite President Rich Langner.Frederick D. Berg: Have never really used a laser before to sight in a gun so this was a first. Read the instructions first....then be prepared to get acquainted with it. It is fairly simple. Make sure you find the correct O ring (s) and make sure you get the yardage as exact as you can.....we did a Tikka 6.5 Creedmoor with 24 inch barrel and put in the required information and then laser sighted it for a 200 yard zero. First shot was 1 inch high and 1 inch left....every shot in the 10 ring at 200! I would not do the cross at 25 feet....this did not work well with the 7.62....but it could have been I had already put on the muzzle break. The Sako .270 1 inch high and 2.5 inches right at 100, and the .308 3 inches left and .25 inches high at 100....and these were the first shots for all rifles. The .22 was .5 high and .5 right at 50 yards. Great system indeed!....saved me numerous rounds of ammo.

James: I don't write many reviews but I purchased one of ther other less expensive boresights listed on here. When It was installed in the barrel as instructed with the tip tightened with the approiate adapter. I sighted the scope in then I removed and replaced the boresight and rechecked it and it was off target. I rotated the boresight in the gun and I got a laser moving about a 3 inch circle. I think part of the problem was that the threads for the battery compartment were in the middle of the device and allowed slop such that the device was not linear and concetric. Now with this borsighter (Slite mag laser). The first thing I did after inserting it was to rotate it in the gun and no movement of the laser with rotation. Notice opening the battery compartment does not seperate the laser from the tip that goes in the barrel and therefore does not affect the alignment of the unit. I signted in the gun laser and a dot scope and then matched them with each other and it was perfect on. I sighted in a scope to the laser on the gun and then checked it back with this bore sighter and it was perfect. The software could use an update. no 350 legend listed but there was a .35 cal listing I...

Lorry: I suspect most people who use this for the first few minutes will think "I wish I'd got the green laser one!". Then, like me they will look up the price difference and suddenly realise that the red one will be fine.
If you are using this in bright sunlight, the dimmer red laser will be annoyingly dim, so I guess the answer is to calibrate your scopes at dusk!
I can't add much to the rest of the reviews. It's a nicely put together kit, it has long and complicated (and ultimately useful) instructions, and comes with downloadable software and printable targets.
Will you regret not spending 3 times more on the green one? For a few minutes, yep... But ultimately this is the one that's good value for money and works better than just about anything else.
Hopefully you find this short review helpful!

SasquatchSasquatch: We've used this to sight in several rifles and shotguns for deer season. I have personally used this on .22, .223, .270, .308, .30-06, 9mm, 20 gauge, and 12 gauge. It's pretty easy to physically switch between calibers. By default it is set for .22 caliber. Anything between .22 and less than .30 doesn't require screwing an attachment on, just select the correct O ring and put it in the spot indicated in the manual. If you want .30 or larger calibers up to .50 screw in the medium attachment and add the correct O ring if needed. If you are looking for 20 gauge or 12 gauge screw on the large attachment and add the correct O ring for it. The manual shows all the O rings in their proper size so you just have to hold them up to the picture to make sure you have the right one. I've attached a picture of the O rings and the manual. Once you have that all ready, lube the ring with a little petroleum jelly and slide it in as far as it will go. The bore sight is magnetized so the O ring holds it in place in the barrel and the magnet holds it at the muzzle. The device requires a couple of A-76 watch batteries. I've only had to replace them once and that was because laser was either put away...

Army Vet: The family of SiteLite Laser Bore Sighter is probably the best laser bore sighting tools on the market. For me, the red laser bore sighting tool was the best choice. When I realized the purpose of a bore sighter is to get you on the target, I didn't need the brighter green laser which was a lot more expensive. I have used the SiteLite tool with several of my .22 caliber pistols and scoped rifles and with my .40 S&W M&P CCW with iron sights and a Crimson Trace laser. I carefully followed the instructions that came with the SiteLite Laser Bore Sighter and downloaded the software available on the SiteLite web pages. Using these tools and the SiteLite red laser bore sighting tool...all very easy to use, I was able to get all weapons on the target at the desired ranges and able to adjust for best accuracy. Battery life is excellent by simply removing the batteries after each use.
