JGibson: This might sell better if the title displayed on the Kindle cover were correct. It should say KNIGHT, not NIGHT.

Isaiah M. Espinoza: I heard about the movie coming out soon and I wanted to read the story for myself as I was unfamiliar with it. It’s easy enough to find and I chose to read this on instead of the one by J.R.R Tolkien. I found this difficult to read at times because of the older language. That says more about me than the text.

Shannon: I enjoyed this story very much. Since I'm not reading it for school or for the poetry, but for the story, this was a great version. It made the story easy follow. I liked the descriptions of the different scenes. Especially the scene where Sir Gawain cut the Green Knights head off. I could almost see the blood spurting out just like in the story. Pretty good for an old tale! You have knights, heads rolling, deceitful woman, and a magical Green Knight. What more can you want?

Major (Retired) Stanley A. Schrader Jr., MATS: I have always wanted to read stories of Camelot but it was always confusing b/c I don't know the 'legend' as well as I should so I didn't know where to start. Additionally, I prefer to find a single author that had written a few or more stories so I could get used to their style as I read through. Not that I have found that yet, but in this case I had a particular interest in Gawain @ the time I read Sit Gawain & the Green Knight.

The book introduced me to a knight that was the epitome of Chivalry in every way. I didn't find the book hard book to read & I learned more about the Legend of King Arthur, especially Sir Gawain.

If you are interested in things Medeival, the Crusades, Knights in Shining Armor, Fantasy/D&D, this is a book I recomment highly yhat you read & add to your knowledge base.

Classical Mom: In this translation, we meet Sir Gawain, a nephew of King Arthur. Through a strange twist of events, he finds himself bound to accept a challenge from a very strange knight. Sir Gawain's honor and integrity are put to the test in several different ways. Many of them are easily recognizable to our hero, but there are some hidden pitfalls. By the end of the tale, Sir Gawain has learned the value of forthrightness and truthfulness. He has been humbled and grown in wisdom. One of the things I liked best about the story was Gawain's tightrope walking in his interaction with the wife of another man who tempted his pride and vanity. In an age where chivalry and courtesy were highly valued, he determined it would be unwise to outright reject her. So, "that gallant prince watched well his words - he would neither take her love, nor frankly refuse it. He cared for his courtesy, lest he be deemed churlish, and yet more for his honor lest he be a traitor to his host. "God forbid," quoth he to himself, "that it should so befall. - Thus with courteous words did he set aside all special speeches that fell from her lips"
As one of the famous knights of the round table, Gawain recognized his...
