Sarah: This is a really cute little book. I know it’s part of a set, but I’m into kind of a hobbitcore aesthetic right now and got it solo for myself (and my coffee table). A lot of the material in here has been covered by other sources, biographies and letters from Tolkien, but it’s nice to have it all compiled in one lovely little book. I’ll likely check out other books in the series as well.

Guido R.: Questo libro, disponibile in lingua inglese, permette a chi come me ama Il Signore Degli Anelli e in particolare gli Hobbit di immergersi nel loro mondo e di scoprire tante curiosità e aneddoti su queste creature protagoniste dei libri di Tolkien.
Nota di merito per le illustrazioni del libro, davvero bellissime e caratteristiche. Ovviamente occorre una buona padronanza della lingua inglese per comprendere il testo, che risulta comunque fluido e intuitivo and quando sfugge un particolare vocabolo che magari non si conosce.
Il costo del libro secondo me è davvero buono se rapportato al grande lavoro svolto dall'autore. Io l'ho regalato a una persona cara e l'ha adorato!

Ms. S. Iliffe: My daughter loves the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, so got this as a birthday present. She really appreciated it and found it full of great illustrations, information about the hobbits from the books, and history on the British mythology behind the hobbits. Great stuff.

Wayne A. Banister: This book has wealth of information at your fingertips about different families and types of hobbits. Great history of the shire as well. I love David Day's reference books and artworks.
