Craig Gowing: I wasn't having high hopes, especially after reading the reviews, but I went for it anyway. Go over each connection and don't ov er tighten them. Ive had Gibraltars double kick and this one for the money seems well bolstered.

Wears WaldoWears Waldo: The media could not be loaded. Nice and responsive. The pedals are easy to adjust. Each pedal can be used a single pedal which is nice too.
The box had a hole in it when it arrived. It did arrive with some scratches and two nuts were missing.
The rubber pads work well to keep it stable but it you will still need a carpet to keep the pedal in place. After about 20 hours or so of playing the beater is a a little flattened on one side but doesn’t affect the sound.

I. Wagner: They needed to be adjusted and aseembled properly for starters. I purchased these because it said you just need to slide things around to make it left handed, not true. I had to completely turn everything around and the one that holds the 2 beaters, I had to spin the whole frame that holds the shaft backwards, then turn everything around. Luckily there were no conflicts and I was able to make them work. They work very well but it took me a few hours to figure it all out. I would have returned them if it was impossible to switch to lefty but I'm keeping them.

Ron Oliver: So, I've had this double pedal for 3 months now. At first, I didn't know if I was going to keep it as it kept falling apart. But, I pulled it out from behind the kit and spent time tightening and basically re-assembling parts of the pedal and it has been working pretty good for the last 2 months with no issues. I think for the money, it's a great pedal for light to moderate use. My 11 year old is learning drums and she practices about 1/2 hour every day and it is holding up quite nicely now. What about heavier use? I wouldn't depend on it if you are doing a lot of stage gigs, etc. Hope this helps make your decision.

James W. Lloyd: This is my second double bass pedal I've bought this year. The first one was NOT this product, but after 7 months of casual use (3-5 times a week for 20-30 minutes at a time) I had a part break that rendered the whole pedal inoperative. I talked to the other seller but they refused any help because I was outside of their 30 day return window. That reminds me I should probably go leave them negative feedback...
Anyway so when looking for a replacement I was looking for a good and inexpensive pedal with a warranty this time! I found that in this product. The pedals arrived quickly and worked well. That is for the first week anyway! Within a week of the same casual play I had a part break on it. There is a pin inside the mechanism that connects the second pedal to the primary pedal that broke, so the shaft between the two pedals just fell to the ground. I swear I don't abuse these pedals... I play lightly on an electronic drum set! Needless to say I was pretty upset.
The only reason I'm still giving this 4 stars is because of how well the seller quickly helped me out. I called their tech support to see if I could just replace the one broken part because it was small and...

Mike C: Absolutely best bang for 70 BUCKS!! It is/was exactly as I expected and the quility is definately on par w/costing maybe twice that. On my own set I play a much more expensive & more option filled pedal (Pearl Pwr Shifter) but i got this one to play while I'm deployed in Afghanistan at church and I plan on leaving it here for the next drummers to play. It's a double chain drive and is built well. The universal joint that connects the pedals has double set-screws at each end, and the springs & hardware are on par with a lower cost Pearl or DW pedal, so you're missing nothing there. Mine came w/a tuning key, too. It's nicely built, but for $70 I can't see it lasting more than a year, under heavy playing, but if you have this pedal for that long you've earned to treat yourself to something nicer & more heavy duty. If you study closely, the more expensive pedals offer more rigidity, less play w/in all the parts, more precision, and more adjustment options (cam changes, multi-beater heads, angle adj's, length adj's); thus, making those pedals cost much more; these are all options for the experienced drummers to feel out & be anal about. If you are just looking for a...
