Matt R.: I tried the magnetic kind that go outside the bore, (don't bother wasting your time on that! They scratch your gun, overpriced, and inaccurate). This product however works great, it is plug and play. It does seem to aim high, but I don't know if it's due to bullet drop or physics. Aside from that, side to side it is centered, and I like that you can turn it on and off by the switch. I would have liked to have had a thicker cable, but I haven't had any issues. I tried cheap laser sighters, I tried really expensive laser sighters, and they all failed terribly. This is the one that was just right in terms of consistency and functionality. I wish I'd tried it first, it would have saved me a lot of time and effort!

wayne stam: I like this tool. I used it two rifles to set up the scopes in my basement and when I went out to the range I was pleased that my shots were on the paper and very close to the center of the target so only needed a coupe adjustments to hit bulls eye.

Deb Parr: I installed the Sightmark laser and moved the red dot scope to the laser and went out and shot it and the gun was right on target. I bought a 9mm laser as well but it wasn't worth the powder to blow itself to hell! Stick with the 22 laser.

Randy Kearnes: I like this bore sight although would be nice if it had an internal battery (I realize it's likely too small for that) so that you didn't have the battery pack hanging from it once inserted in the chamber.

NorthernDad: Update: Took it out shooting and the shot placement was WAY off from the laser bore sight, even at 10 yards! So either the rifle is somehow way out, or the laser is out. Will test in another new .22 soon and update.
Original: I just used this for the first time on our .22LR and it fit and worked perfectly. I will head out to the range to finish sighting in the gun, and will see how close the paper is to the boresight.
