Rebecca de la Motte: Put these on the front of a beach cruiser that had some cheap generics. Shimano is a brand I can always trust. Well worth the money, great value. I turned the bike into a 36v electric. This combined with the coaster brake is enough stopping power. I saw a huge difference in performance. Original cheap generic brake was rubbing on the wheel, hard to fit tight to the rim. My rim is not perfectly straight since I threaded the motor on the front wheel and I am not a "professional" and did with a hand tool. But it is relatively straight enough and all good with no brake pad rubbing the rim now (thanks to this upgrade).

BERNARD M TERWAY: I have a Schwinn Meridian adult tricycle and have had problems with the brakes from day one. Had a bike repair man fix them but they still did not work properly. Adjusting them was a nightmare! I put these on and am able to brake properly. Easy to mount, just make sure the pads are right side up and you use the supplied noodle.

cjs: Easy to install/adjust as needed. converted cantis to linear pull for extra power without extra effort. While there are cheaper options available, these appear solidly built, and should work for all but the most extreme needs.

Fourester: I bought these to rehab an old bike that needed new cables and pads. For the price, I upgraded to these entire sets. Cables are not included, nor are levers. I read in the reviews that someone had used them on the exact model of my bike, older Trek 7200 hybrid, so I figured they would work. I also read that there is no real difference between the front and rear sets, and since the rear set was on backorder, I ordered 2 front sets. They do work, at least well enough. The spring is not as strong as my previous set, so I had to fiddle around with them testing the various placements on the rear. They have strong resistance in the top hole of the rear mounts, but none in the center, so I used the top. The front mounts only have one hole, which gives barely enough resistance to work. It took a while to mount, mainly spent trying to align and toe in the pads. Thank goodness for Park Tools How-to YouTube videos. They have detailed instructional videos on installing every type of caliper brake out there, including V brakes. Although I recommend this item, it would be good for the seller to outline the differences between the front and rear sets on their Amazon sales page.
