SHEWE Gooseneck Electric Kettle: Perfect for Brewing Pour Over Coffee and Tea

C. Jimenez: This kettle looks like Cosori, but not even close. Metal is thinner. Temp control didn’t work. No matter what temp I set it to, it heated to the hottest point. Scorching hot. It is not intuitive to use. Not plug and play. You need to read the instructions completely to figure out how to use this kettle. The lights flash when heating, which makes you think that it is still in the temperature selection process, like with most “flashing light” functions on other appliances. Very disappointed. Returned and picked up a Cosori. Much better. (Cosori is the same kettle brand Costco sells. Dependable and great temp control.) Just buy Cosori.

Patrick: Most electric kettles look good but most of the bases are big plastic eye sores, this one looks great. Initially I struggled to figure out the "keep warm" function as the instructions are not clear. For anyone who has the same question, click the left button to select the desired temp, hold the left button for 3 seconds until it lights up, and then finally click the right button to start up the heating.

Lu: I make tea or coffee every day and this kettle is perfect for daily use. It heats up fast and the temperature control is precise. It also looks nice, I like the black color of both heater and kettle. I’ve used it for a couple weeks and it’s working great so far.

G. Jones: It's a kettle with temperature control. Not a big deal.
No on/off switch. Really ? You have to unplug this thing and plug it in every time you use it ?
When you use a button (with indicator light) to select a temperature, you have to use a separate button to start it. Not obvious.
Temperature is close...all 5 selectable temps run about 5-7 degrees low (I used 2 different thermometers to verify and stirred to pot to make sure the full pot had the same temp). The thermometers had gone thru a 2 point calibration verification with ice and boiling water prior - os I knew they were working and agreed with one another.
On the plus side - very nice styling. Easy to pour. Empties completely when pouring. Appears sturdy and well made.

The design is beautiful and useful. The spout has an elegant design and is nearly perfect for my pour over coffee brewing. The auto shutoff (that is not obvious in the instructions) works well.

Wynn: I did extensice Amazon research on gooseneck kettles and thought this was the best one that gave the most bang for my buck. The matte black looks so cool and modern and looks beautiful on my kitchen counter. There are different temp settings for different tea and coffee and keep temp button. Just press the button and you are good to go! Can't wait for my weekend morning tea and coffee!
