Beth: Easy recipes that are good and don't require a long list of ingredients or steps. I can get most of the ingredients cheaply at Aldi. There's a nice variety of recipes but I feel like there are quite a few that are only a little different from each other. The description paragraph for each recipe is nice... if I feel like reading it. It's my fault but I've definitely missed important info by skipping it. Bulletpoints would be nice instead of being so wordy. Just my preference though. Highly recommend this for a novice cook who doesn't have a lot of kitchen supplies.

So Many Books, So Little Time: There are some really awesome sounding recipes in this book but the one I have made repeatedly is the Cheeseburger Mac casserole. Could not be more simple to assemble and it tastes great! My husband really loves it and I make it for him often, as it's the perfect food for when he goes to the hunting cabin! (I don't recommend freezing it though, it gets sort of mushy when it thaws). America's Test Kitchen puts out the best books - pricey but worth it.

Nicos Taquitos: (Edited->) I will stipulate that as of today (two years later), I have only made a handful of these recipes (book was in long term storage :c). Of the ones I have made, half were keepers and half were kind of bland or just not good enough to repeat. I just don't think roasts are for everyone though! I've been marking them off on the pages as good or not, so I can easily go back and make the family favorites. It isn't a purchase that I regret at all!
BUT, so far I am a fan for these reasons:
1. Pictures of the recipes, and not just pictures of SOME of them, pictures of ALL recipes.
2. Variety (of ethnicity). It has many, many different cultural dishes from American, Mediterranean, Asian, Indian, to even Cajun. They are all different types, but also very universal as far as what the average person is willing to eat. The recipes chosen were clearly designed to meet the tastes of as many people as possible.
3. Variety (of ingredients). The types of meats are incredibly varied, too. Pork chops, shrimps, salmon, chicken, chuck steak, mussels, and some vegetarian. It incorporates many different vegetables and ingredients like couscous or leaks, but also has many...

TanLab: Loads of recipes and pics of the dishes. Got this for my husband for Christmas as he wanted more cookbooks that he could try out. He gives this two thumbs up.

Alexis: I have completely fallen for this cookbook.
So far everything I have tried has been a hit with the family. It's easy instructions paired with a little planning ahead for the ingredient lists has been simple to prepare a complete meal for everyone in one pan.
Keep the great ideas coming America's Test Kitchen!!

Gayle Stannard: I was looking for easy, fast and not too complicated supper ideas...and I found them here. Everything I have tried from this cookbook has been a hit. I really love Americas Test Kitchen books and this one is spot on. Other books by them I also enjoyed were the Six Ingedient cookbooks. You've gotta love a cookbook that is easy to follow and gives you great results every time!!

Ryan KolbRyan Kolb: Love it! Got it as a Christmas present and have been cooking from it for 3 weeks. My style of cooking! Nice to have one cookbook with a bunch of different types of meals and recipes that are quite easy to make in one pan. Good for a regular home cook who has the 5 pan types they use - sheet pan, Dutch oven, roasting pan, 12 in skillet, and casserole dish. So far, only had some trouble with a noodle recipe being too watery once but that was because I didn't follow the instructions totally. When it comes to liquids and cooking things like rice and noodles you do need to follow the measurements and directions pretty close. That being said I've tweaked spices and sauces (pesto sauce for red sauce on top of chicken; dill mustard for lemon and thyme on top of fish), and that turned out fine. To counter points in some other reviews, yes some recipies require you to microwave ingredients before adding them into the "one pan" but they do mention this in the introduction to the book, so that shouldn't come as a surprise. Also if you've ever used any Americas Test Kitchen/Cooks Country books, this is a common enough technique they recommend, and I have found has made my life easier as a...

Jessica: I am so excited about this cookbook. I love America's Test Kitchen and credit them with my excellent cooking skills. I can count on one hand how many times a recipe from them hasn't worked out for me. This is the first cookbook in a long time that has me really excited, enough to leave what I think is my first ever Amazon review.
Thankfully I don't have any binding issues like a previous reviewer, my book arrived in one piece.
Each recipe has a color picture, which I've noticed ATK is starting to do more. So many of my cookbooks from them are heavy on great recipes but light on pictures. I approve of this change.
I'm not really much for the gimmick of making everything in one pan, I just want a good recipe. After browsing this book I feel like these recipes are going to deliver.
There isn't a single recipe in this book that I'm not excited to make. This week I look forward to making the Curried Chicken With Coconut Rice and Lime Yogurt Sauce, Turkey Meatballs with Lemony Rice, and Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin with Roasted Red Potatoes And Peach Sauce.
I feel like I could open this book to any page and it would be a recipe I want to make. So often with cookbooks I find...
