Calmminded94: Har inte provat recepten ännu, men jag gillar författaren och boken är fin.

Justin: My fiance and I watch Ann (I'm watching her right now actually) and she loves to bake. I got her this cookbook (spiral-bound) for her birthday and she's made a large portion of the recipes.
They've been a hit at the dinner parties she makes them for, and roughly 20 people have all approved the recipes.
My fiance loves the technical side of it, showing wjat happens when you bake with oil vs margarine vs butter. I like to look at the pictures haha.
The measurements are in imperial, metric and go by volume and weight.
I'm very happy with it.

AlanisAlanis: The media could not be loaded. Ainda não fiz nenhuma receita, mas gostei muito da proposta do livro ser organizado do mais fácil ao mais difícil, e tudo parece ótimo pelas fotos :).

Kyle: I put in a pre-order ages ago since I heard about the book and was quite excited to see what was in it. I've really enjoyed the videos and the explanations in them have been pretty easy to understand in areas I'm not versed in. Therefore when I heard there was going to be a book I thought I needed to have it. Overall I'm pretty impressed with it. Lots of beautiful photography inside, instructions clear and easy to follow (my opinion) and some great ideas.
That said I was a little disappointed in other areas. For a channel primarily to do with baking I was a little perplexed at the ice cream section. I suppose this is great for someone interested in making ice cream but as someone who isn't for me those pages could've gone to more baking related recipes. Lastly I thought the pages at the end that are basically stencils could've been used for more recipes also. I thought a simple website link at the beginning or end of the book could've been used to link these stencils plus perhaps a load more. Though in fairness again I have no idea how difficult and how much time it takes to think up recipes, make them beginner/Intermediate friendly and then actually do them successfully. A lot...

Arieth: This book is well written, I enjoyed just reading the book, you can hear her voice as it explains the science.
My one complaint seems to be one of the only two, and that it is focused primarily on chocolate, cakes, and ice creams. (I dont care that it's not a thick book)
The recipes are easy to follow if you read the whole thing before you start cooking (you should always do that) and the pictures are just stunning.
She takes a few pages to explain what happens when you change an ingredient in cake or ice creams and explain why she likes it the way she does. She gives you SEVEN ways to tempur chocolate so it doesn't melt at room temperature. She explains what a pastry is.
There are a few recipes that don't fit into those categories, I was SO happy to see the sugar bowl. I wanted to know how she ratios her crack sugar and see the science behind it because that is what I'm really into doing right now.... and nothing. There was notes explaining about why she recommends the helium quality balloons, and how the water will keep it from popping... (I dont remember what temp she stops at, but I get mine to 300f, so yes, that is important) but nothing behind the...

Sm 620: I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of the book itself. The cover is very sturdy and there are many high quality colored pictures inside the book. As for the content, there are several easier recipes and over half are more complicated recipes. I think this gives the reader a path to try some easy recipes then try to stretch themselves with harder ones. Some of the recipes also have video tutorials available, so if you're unsure about what it should look like during the process, you can always reference the video if it's available. I checked and there are a lot descriptions in the text, but sometimes it is nice to see it in a video as well. There are very nice pictures of the completed product which is helpful when plating.
I like how the ingredients are separated out for each step. I noticed this for the mint Oreo mousse recipe. Oreo's are used in both the mousse and the topping, so separating them in the ingredients prevents the reader from adding all of them into the mousse by accident. It also helps separate the complicated recipes into manageable steps.
I really like the section which prefaces the cake recipes. It discusses how fats, sugars, and water content...

BlueEyesBlueEyes: Ann, you've outdone yourself, this Dessert book is gorgeous. We are overseas in Germany and my Son(23) is a huge fan of your YouTube videos.
A few weeks ago, around German mothers day we watched a few videos together and I was surprised by not being able to stop watching.
I've never been big on watching YouTube, but your videos are smart and entertaining and soooo much fun to watch. Usually I get bored after 30 seconds, here it was not the case
When you posted in your video about this book and the possible chance to win, my son decided to buy a hardcover version for mother's day. Not because I can't cook or bake- I can 🤣 but he knew how much I enjoyed watching your vlogs? I hope I said that right☺
To the book, it arrived today, one week prior than expected and I'm over the moon.
The book is stunning, beautiful and well explained. I had no chance at (cooking)or baking anything yet, but I'm extremely excited. I've never been a fan of cooking books either, I look through them to get ideas, but I never follow any recipes. In your case I'll make an exception.
Thank you for making such a fun cooking/baking book and for all your videos. Stay...

sysxpl: En riktigt bra kokbok! Utmärkt om du gillar recept som är lite mer komplicerade och vill ha något som är annorlunda. Även väldigt fin att bläddra i, bra papperskvalitet. Gillar den!
