Jinx: I've had my 2 Promate knives for about 4 years. I sharpen and oil them once a year at the end of the Summer, which takes me about 10 minutes. They are constantly in salt water with me from May until September. They hold their edge and after these 4 years, they each have a tiny small amount of rust stains - barely even noticeable. They are workhorses and they are awesome.

David VerHoefDavid VerHoef: Seems like a nice knife. As many people have said the straps come reversed in the clips. If you try to put the straps on with the curve of the clip conforming to your leg the locking bumps on the strap are against your leg, not facing out like they should. As another user pointed out you have to pry off the retaining clip without breaking it, pointed to in this picture, slide the strap out of the buckle, turn the strap over, and reinstall the retaining clip. So many people have pointed this out that it should be fixed by now.

JeffRJeffR: Nice knife, nice sheath. However, one strap was missing the small retainer for the tail end of the strap. I've reached out to them and we'll see how they handle it. For now, a zip tie is being used as a temp solution. Sigh.
