LA Willson: I have read a few Shannon Meyer series and am working my way thru then all one by one. She has a similar style to KF Breene whom I love!! They have immensely relatable characters that even at the darkest times have a very honest and sarcastic take on their surroundings which only adds to the fun. This series is awesome!!

ReadsALot: Just finished this book; it’s midnight because I couldn’t stop reading. Will start the next (yes, it is already waiting in my library) when I wake up. Will need to fit it in between work … not sure how … maybe in the bathroom ….

Rose PDT: Fabulous fabulous fabulous. Love the characters. Love the passion. Love the plot twists and spins. I love the sexual tension that never results in me having to skip pages of boring unreal sex where they both ‘shatter’ and there’s never any mess.
I read this in record time. Next next next.

Laura Henman: Breena the world's most unlikely heroine is back and this time she meets the fairy queen. Employed by Karissa, met briefly in the first book, to watch after a fairy ring, Bree starts to realise something is not quite right.
It also turns out that Karissa is also the ex-wife of Crash!! Plus Crash is after the thing that Karissa has tasked Bree to get before Crash can get it.
Thankfully Eric, the Bigfoot and prior client of Bree, lives close by, so when she accidentally crashes into Crash....see what I did?? I hold no shame 😇😂😂😇.....she says she was visiting Eric but had got turned around and was now lost <phew> that was close!!
Things spiral from there and trust me, you'll want this book and the audio too.
Again Lauren Fortgang is the narrator and again she is brilliant. The characters and their personalities just fly off the pages when she narrates.

ALY: Breena is a fun character in this book. I enjoy getting to know more about her and her friends. This book is funny and makes me feel better about my age. I know how Breena feels! We are not old yet! I really love this series! I think someone in TV or movies should grab this series and make a few funny and cute movies or a TV series! I love how the humor is sprinkled in and to me, it makes the characters more "human" and more likable. Sometimes books make characters unattainable but this series makes me feel like the characters are people I know and they are my friends too. Seeing this on TV or on the big screen would be a great way to share with a wider audience that may not have read the series yet. I say, if you see Shannon Mayer's books buy them you will be glad you did! This book was a audio book I listen too and I want to say Lauren Fortgang helped bring the story and all the fun charterers to life.

Amanda Scott: I love these books. They capture the imagination while working in the darker side of supernatural stories..But you could almost believe it could happen.. Not just coming from a forty something ( ahem) divorcee .
But this is how the story goes As a recently forty something year old divorcee,Breena spent most of her adult life ,being told she was basically a disappointment. Useless and even locked way for a while.
She decided that since her slime ball of an ex husband taken everything from her, including her Gran's house. That she had nothing, therefore she had nothing to lose by going back home.
That's where her life changed ,she never looked back.
After turning up at her ex's black sheep of the family, cousin who once offered her a place to stay if ever she needed one. Which happened to be where her gran lived too,she got a job, with a company called the Hollow Group with for other recruits. Only to find that the things her gran taught her about as a child,as real. And slowly these memories came back to help her in cases that seemed to just find her..
.Brenda found she wasn't going to be alone, Her first friend she made was a skeleton . After saving a big foot, I guess...

Ms. Theresa M. Derwin: Midlife Fairy 🧚♀️ Hunter
This second book in the Forty-Proof series starts five days after book one, and though you don’t have to have read that, it enriches this one if you have.
Breena is a middle aged misfit, recently moved to her hometown of Savannah after twenty years, to try and get back her dead granny’s house that her ex husband stole from her whilst Bree was incarcerated in a mental health institute he’d put her in - because she could see things that don’t exist - according to ‘Himself’. The ex.
He gaslighted her, emotionally abused her and still won’t let her live life now they’re divorced. And to be honest he’s a weakly weasle of a man with a superiority complex - don’t worry, he’ll get his ‘reward’ as due.
There’s magic in Savannah and Bree now believes in it.
She’s smart, can fight, tell off werewolves and is not afraid to own her mature, burgeoning hormones and man-crushes.
Add in the fact she is a kick-ass, snarky forty-plus woman with curves and baggage - who adopts people wherever she goes - it’s a very fun read. And I love that #PWF is a new emerging sub genre - about time...

Steph Mauk: Bree is back and feistier than before. Such a great book with so many twists and turns along the way. The characters, from the first book as well as new ones, are well fleshed out. Even Robert and Skel… lol. The subplots to the central story line are intriguing and do not take anything from the story’s focus. Very well written. Absolutely couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read book three!
