Deborah Lighthall: My mom is reading this series and is enjoying it a great deal! This book had more steamy language in it, which she didn't care for. Many readers may not mind or may even enjoy that, so she did not want to give less than 5 stars because of it as it is a matter of reader preference. Not to mention, the title tells you plainly there is going to be attraction and love interest involved in the story, right? Lol! It's not anything really overt, however, and the story and characters compelled her to skim through those parts, keep reading, and asking when I can drop the next book into her library collection! I walk by her reading and see her totally engrossed and often smiling as she reads these books, so, highly recommend!

Jill jennings: I am 100% invested in this series ! It’s humourous and fun while still having enough adrenaline and adventure with a touch of romantic comedy. The characters are relatable and fun. The story interesting . I have a feeling I am going to read these books way too fast!
Just really Enjoying it ! Can’t wait to dive into book 3!

Sianny banany: Absolutely loving this series so far!

Jessie decides to try her hand at online dating. She’s not looking for anything serious or long term, but it’s been a long old time since she dated and she just wants to dip in a toe…except she unknowingly set her profile up as a beacon for casual hookups.

And boy does she learn fast that online dating sucks.

Meanwhile, some gargoyles turn up having felt her accidental summons to help learn her new magic. And the alpha of the new group is a bonafide hottie mchotpants. But maybe a little too forward for her liking. Don’t get me wrong, they basically all proposition her at some point but Damarion is just all up in her face about claiming her.

Austin is clearly feeling some kinda way about it, and yet they both keep pretending it’s that he can’t handle another alpha in his town. Nothing to do with the fact that he and Jessie obviously have growing feelings for each other. Not to mention the sexual attraction and tension that you could cut with a knife.

But as they say, denial isn’t just a river in Egypt (or quite a bit of Africa if we’re being realistic). Denial is basically a tertiary character...

A. Carey: I do not like paranormal or fantasy, but I can't help it. I like these books. I got the first one free and at the beginning when I realized what it was I almost erased it, but the author is so good she drew me in. I've read the first two and I keep saying that's it but I'm about to order the third. It will be interesting to see just how good this author is. There are like 6 or 8 books in the series. I have no intention of going that far. We'll see!

Amazon Customer: I'm not good at book reviews. There won't be a mini synopsis here. Just my general opinion.

It took a minute for me to get used to this authors writing style. Less descriptions and more conversations than I am generally used to. I read a lot. Probably more than I should. The stories tend to cause images in my head very similar to watching a movie so I've been forced to (gasp) use my imagination rather than a detailed description to envision some scenes. Now, at the end of book 2 and about to start the 3rd in a series, I'm finding that I have adapted and don't notice the change.
I can't tell you how many times these books have made me smile. The one liners and snappy comebacks are never ending. The author has a quirky dark sense of humor and I love it. Honestly never thought I'd find humor in decapitation, but some how I have.
I will be finishing this series and then searching for more in hopes that I get to enjoy even more of the dark giggles.

jacq: Jessie has taken the magic of Ivy House, now how does she learn how to yield it?

The old crew are very happy to have their vim and vigour reinstated but one member of the council is unhappy about being leashed to the house.

Jessie is learning how to unlock her magic and also how to fly. In her panic she sends a summons out which calls a whole host of gargoyles to her including the intimidating alpha Damairius or something.

He and Austin butt heads as two alphas in one small town and Jessie is forced to chose.

The house continues its eccentric games with Jessie, much to her horror, boy does it make me giggle.

Another new player joins the host and the mysterious mob boss steps up his attempts to have Jessie.

Quite an exciting romp with lots of new monsters and creatures.

Really enjoyable

Laura Henman: As the title states, book two has kept up and far surpassed the hilarity of book one!!

Right from the off, we're thrown into action and wisecracks and i spent so much time having to pause and then go back on the audio, as i wiped my eyes and grabbed my sides.

Mages are popping up all over the place and still Austin Steele fights Ivy House and her insistence of involvement. But what Ivy House wants, Ivy House will insist upon.

Also there is the hottest and sexiest Alpha gargoyle in existence to show up and help with the training of Jessie. Something which isn't conducive to a working relationship for our resident Alpha.

Two Alphas, one Jessie and a town far too small!! The fights are going to be LEGENDARY 🙈🙈😂😂

There's a lot of action and if two Alphas isn't enough, what would happen if there happened to be a third one out there somewhere??

Why is there a third one out there?? I hear you ask......

Tsk tsk if you want to know the answer to that you'll just have to buy the book!!

What about the audio book?? You've got to get that.....sheesh...

Precise Disarray: I am up to date with the story, and really enjoyed everything I read. I dont rehash what I read (not a book report here), but just my overall impression. Fun thing about reading, what we choose and enjoy is highly subjective. Something you love, I may fine stupid. Something I love you may not be able to handle. Whatever. Give something a try and move on.

The Levelling Up series was not something I expected to like. I had learned of this book on a random FB sponsored ad. I dont recall what drew me to it, but let me tell you none of this is my typical genre to read from. I think it was the appeal of reading of a character in her 40s. I'm in my 40s. Nice to see the main star to be someone outside the typical 20 something. Figured I'd give it a go, and if I didnt like it I have the option to stop, yes?

The first chapter was meh. Though, I tend to be a little snarfy when I first begin a new book. Takes a little to get into it. But then once it started rolling, I was so very much hooked. I think once I realized that the writer can write, can flesh out detail, can give life to not only main characters, but give a lot to side characters, and I can imagine the surroundings so...
