Jennifer Johnson: The safe arrived as described except with the addition of two noticeable dents. The dents are on corners not associated with the door, so it doesn't impact the ability to open and close/lock. We were a bit disappointed to receive it damaged, especially considering how heavy it is and it is brand new. Otherwise, it has plenty of room inside.

zman: Safe will suit my needs, but I was hoping the locking mechanism would be at least good quality for the price. This safe is supposed to last my lifetime. The door handle is plastic and feels like it will break right off. If you grab handle with your hand and shift downward to open, the action is stiff then releases leaving your fingers to be pinched against the key lock mechanism! First two openings...I pinched my hand twice. Don't wrap your fingers around the handle. The locking mechanism feels stiff and cheap. Considering WD40 or a silicone lubricant on the bolts to loosen up the action? No sure if ill be able to open as I reach my senior years.
Plus, be aware. It is not a key open as a secondary. The key is a secondary locking feature to NOT allow the combination to open. So if you want to lock it up from anyone knowing the combination, you can.
I was able to unpack and move on my own with a light dolly. If you are moving up or down stairs I recommend having a friend help. I used furniture sliders to move easily to location over carpet and tile.

HERE IS WHAT YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR...ME TOO.

Ok...today was the first day we could get into the home. WE FOUND THE SAFE. As you can see in the picture, the safe is completely burned on the outside. Then safe was also a little warped from the high temperature. Keep in mind that this safe has been sitting inside this house, under fire debris for over 2 months.

We had to cut into the safe, as the front of the safe was completely melted. We opened up the safe and to our AMAZEMENT, all of the contents were not terribly damaged from the fire. This fire burned VERY HOT. I posted a picture of the fire-proof envelope we used to put a few hundred dollars into it and the money was still there!!! EVERYTHING DID NOT BURN. Now, there is one little issue...the safe took on water after the fire warped the box and water was able to get into the inside of the safe. It is ok...I WOULD BUY THIS SAFE AGAIN (when I can afford another one). People, do not hesitate in purchasing this safe, I am living proof that this safe can fall 15 feet and survive...can withstand a darn hot fire and survive...can somewhat withstand gallons and gallons of water and...

Humberto Casale: Buen producto, se ve muy resistente, pero al recibir traía un golpe fuerte en la esquina superior la caja y las protecciones venían intactas, eso quiere decir que el golpe fue antes de empacar y enviar, que pena que Amazon envié productos dañados. Aun así me quede que la caja fuerte en cuanto a funcionalidad y características muy buena tal como se describe en el articulo.

Heavy enough so no one can easily steel it. Come with mounting screws.

RDSWY4RDSWY4: If you are like me, you have debated buying a home safe for awhile. You have researched. Walked by them and tested handles in the store. Looked at the price. Then looked at the price again and decided you can wait. I've done all of that for too many years now and finally decided to go ahead and spend the money and buy one. I couldn't find any that were "affordable" that didn't have some kind of poor review. I think people spend the money, get the safe and realize that what they got was a safe. And that it's not much "fun".

That all being said, I am so happy with this SentrySafe! I sure don't like long reviews, but this one will be a little long. Sorry. Be sure to check out all of the pictures I attached to the review. It will help you see the size of this safe and some of the great features you will be getting for your money.

The safe arrived in a box with 3 pieces of cushioning material. One on the bottom and two on the top on each side. The owner's manual and other documentation was tucked down along side the unit. The keys (for "double" locking the safe) and other documents are inside the safe. Keep in mind, this baby is heavy. About 90 pounds or so. Upon opening...
