Tyler: I was thinking I would need one for my drip irrigation system, but it was large enough that it needed the full pressure. But from the irrigation controller I had, it was easy to see that it definitely reduced the flow. So for anyone needing that, I'm happy to report that it does work! Can't find a reason to fault them for that!

kreuz: Update. While static pressure check will not work (see text) neither does a dynamic pressure test work under certain conditions. My initial test ran from the regulator to a Y, off one leg was the drip system main lines but no emitters were installed, on the other leg was a hose where I regulated the water flow at 1 gal-min. This failed but I do not know why. I added some emitters (24 0.5 gph emitters) on the drip side and reran the test and the pressure was a steady 25 psi as expected. I also found that my vacuum breakers interfere with this unit (I have American Valve brass). I changed out the vacuum breaker to a Rainbird plastic between tests so this may why it worked.
