Hawker: I purchased this to keep my seedling vegetables alive while away on spring break. Once I figured out the water-to-pump-time-ratio, it worked like a charm. It has been a few weeks and I had to expand the setup for up-potting. This is where I ran into the issue which a lot of negative reviews complain about...
I had four tubes and several T-sections going to four trays on two tiers roughly 1m apart in height. My lower tier plants were not getting any water. But this was easily fixed by putting the included drippers at the end of each tube. It is a resistance circuit issue....the tubes need resistance at the end to get the water to flow somewhat equally. Then I just needed to double the run-time for the right water volume. So I have drippers going into trays for bottom watering....which is a bit silly but works fine.
I have not had any siphoning issues. I placed the pump well above the reservoir and the plants as well, so siphoning is not possible.
Lots pf negative reviews complain about the WiFi. I didnt bother with the WiFi version. I stay away from networking on electronics at this price point. It's just a pump; not everything needs to be smart.
I took...

Alexander Reeser: Follow the instructions carefully to prevent leaks! With a couple updates to device and app, it would be perfect.
-I like that it can run every set number of days/hours rather than specific days of the week if that makes sense. This way I can water every other day, every 2 days etc. Their other wifi timers could use this feature! This being said, there is no way to have it run at a specific time that you set. I wish I could have it run at 7 in the morning without having to be awake to start it...
-I wish that it had a different type of watering system as an option. How it works is that it injects the water 3 inches or so, down to the root which is OK, but it seems too localized, especially if it's a larger plant. It might be better to moisten more of the soil. I get that a sprinkler might not make sense for indoor use because it could get water everywhere, but a porous or fabric "soaking hose" or something similar would be a good option to have so that it can soak more of the soil from the top without shooting water everywhere.
-Here's the big problem: The instructions clearly state that if you have the water input hose in the water source and the output hose...

Gabo Martínez: el desempeño es optimo, sin embargo debes de mantenerlo conectado siempre para que puedas hacer la programación del "auto regado", este es el único problema que le veo. Estoy pensando en comprar uno nuevo.

Shea: I just received this unit and so far I am impressed. Connection to my wifi network was easy - you do need to have it on a 2.4Ghz network. The Rain Point app works well and is easy to navigate. I set it up so that the output from the Rain Point pump goes vertical for about 18" before running horizontally to my plants to avoid any potential siphoning.
I mocked up all the lines with the drip emitters in place and measured the water output over 5 minutes. I found it took around 8 minutes to deliver 2l of water equally through 2 sets of emitters - 6 in total. I have 3 emitters in 2 plant pots so 1l per plant over 8 min. As long as the lines from the "t" fittings are equal length the pressure and flow rate should be equal from each emitter. I could see unequal flow from the emitters if you just had them t'ed off of a central line and in a row.
So far I'm impressed with how everything works, the only issue I have is that getting the tubing onto the drip emitters is a bit tough.
A good buy for sure!

H. Bustani: USER MANUAL: poor
Graphics are printed at such a low resolution that they are illegible. Images showing how to install accessories are a set of poorly printed photographs against a crowded background, instead of well thought out schematics.
Update: An online version of the manual has been added, which is a big improvement, though it still needs more work.
SETUP: poor
The unit has to be connected to a USB power supply, but nowhere does the manual state the required current rating of this supply.
The app has step-by-step instructions on how to set up the WiFi connection, but they are difficult to understand. It is not clear if batteries need to be installed or not, or if it will work either way. The instructions are written in an illogical way. For example, "Power on the device. Power off after 10s and then power on." It is not clear if this means to power on the device after it has been off for at least 10s, or does it mean to plug it in, wait 10s, unplug, then plug back in (after an unspecified interval). It is also not clear what needs to be done with the batteries during this process. It asks you to hold the "Reset switch", even though there is no reset switch on...
