monograph lover: I tried to use it and within one week it ceased to function. Whenever it's plugged in it does nothing except make a very loud buzzing noise, with the LED illuminated red. I fear it's not safe to use or even plug into a receptacle. If it were possible to give it zero stars I would. It didn't last one week. I registered the dehumidifier for the "extension of the lifetime warranty" within two days of receiving the product. The manufacturer, Seavon, refuses to acknowledge the warranty. It appears that they don't stand behind, or care about, the quality of the equipment they sell or whether it works for the customer. Just be careful. The machine didn't work. Now it has to be tossed / recycled. Waste of money.
I've purchased two other dehumidifiers by different manufacturers from Amazon. Each of those is more solidly constructed with higher quality materials and works well. Those are very dependable..

Robert C: 6 months, stopped working.
1. Contacted Seavon. "We stand by our products etc etc". Then the games started.....
2. Send us a video showing it not working. DONE.
3. Manufacturer suggested you clean the contacts. DONE.
4. Do you happen to have a different power supply to try? NO. WHY WOULD I?
5. MANY days later "Shipping is your responsibility and it's $20, so we can just refund you 50%.". FFS! Warranty online says "PROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE & WARRANTY】SEAVON dehumidifiers offer 30 days of free exchange and refund service and a ONE-YEAR warranty. We provide lifetime customer service and tech support. Questions will be responded to within 24 working hours."

After telling them they have to stand by their product and not surprise customers with "negotiations" and shipping fees, THEY ISSUED REFUND to my Amazon account!

Product works, but the $4.50 extended warranty is worth it for future buyers!

b....47b....47: The media could not be loaded.  I was really liking this small dehumidifier. It was perfect for my bathroom. I sat it on the counter between my two sinks and it still kept my large shower mildew free. I live in Florida so we have a lot of humility in the air.

I was enjoying the changing lights and water collection that would need emptied about once a week. But, now it has stopped. I received it June 4th and today is July 16th. I read other reviews where people complained about it just suddenly stopping, but over all it had a pretty good rating. So I ordered it anyway. This brand seemed to have a good rating on all of their appliances. I am sad that it only lasted 6 weeks. 😟

**UPDATE: The dehumidifier wouldn’t turn on for me that day, but when trying it again the next day it started right up and has been working fine ever since. I run it most of the time, but have turned it off and unplugged it a few times to use the outlet for something else. Each time I plugged it back up , it would turn on and work just fine. I felt I was purchasing a quality machine and still feel I did. I think that one day was a fluke and I don’t feel I will have problems in the...

AAKD: UPDATE 6/15/22: Customer service was on top of it! They saw this review and reached out via email. (Make sure you are checking the the spam folder!) They asked if I wanted a replacement and sent a new dehumidifier immediately. The new product arrived super fast (like in just a few days!) and has worked great so far! They were true to their word on the 1 year warranty. Very pleased with customer service and the product - just hoping it will outlast the first one. :-)

This product worked great for about 6 months, then it just completely stopped working. I've tried all troubleshooting methods listed (cleaning sensors, etc.), but I think it's just dead. It emits a loud beep when trying to turn it on again, but nothing lights up or turns on. It says there is a 12 month warranty and others say Customer Service is happy to replace, but I can't find any way to contact the seller on here!

S. Mills: I got this for RV use. The noise is hardly noticable. It's less than what a small fan would make. I think the "white noise" actually put me to sleep. We have the typical issue of window condensation. Don't expect this to have 8 oz of water in, if you have that much air moisture, you have bigger problems. Overnight it collected about 4 tablespoons of water and it seemed to have a noticeable effect on dampness. We used it in winter (cold outside - hot inside setup). I am waiting to see how it works in summer, when the condensation is worse on windows. It did help our bedding from being damp like it normally does when it's really cold.
*** Update after summer use ***
Worked even better when it was hot. We like to run our AC on about 68d at night an after 3 days it collected about 1/2" of water and we no issue at all with condensation or damper windows.
For me, it was very worth the money and works great for this use. Maybe others are reporting issues from it being used full time. I keep in RV and use as needed so I give it an A+ for that type of use.
