Stan. B: Compact, and so is good for working in confined areas, accurate enough for my needs, and covers an adequate range of torque values for many tasks on the car or motorbike. As I tend to think in metric I would have preferred the Nm scale to be on top of the tool rather than the foot/pounds, but that’s just personal preference.

Mr. D. F.: This has been made for a US market first and foremost. There are both ft/lb and nm. However the ft/lb scale is in nicely spaced increments. The nm is all over the place and irregular. This makes it really hard to use in practice. I have to convert nm to ft/lb and use that scale. This is just easier because I just cannot work out the nm scale.
Its a pain but not unsurmountable for the occasional times I have to use this and it was cheap enough.

AL: Just arrived with next day delivery, happy with that but cant comment on its performance I havent used it yet but looks strong enough to last years. Mine came with a scratch through the black coating but after a few times use it will probably be marked anyway, the price you pay for having a tool with a black coating (paint). On the plus side the numbers are stamped so cannot wear off. Nice tool
Update: used it to torque up 20 wheel nuts and the tool is perfect. Positive click and very sturdy, it's a shame it was marked before packing and the only reason I gave it four stars. This deserves five stars but as other customers have reported scratches on their new tools too then maybe the manufacturer needs to address this and sack the quality control/packer.
