Annie: It does a good job despite feeling awkward while cleaning the vent, but it could be because I was using a shopvac instead of a regular vacuum. However it is a very nifty equipment. I totally like it. My 12 year old even assisted me, so it is somewhat kids friendly.

Orwell: Over the years I've probably purchased all offered dryer vent vacuum cleaners. Usually the b end or the other caused the product failure. Some did not fit securely over any of numerous vacuum hose ends and bizarrely to me most of the ends designed to enter dryer vent area were too big to fit. I have a Whirlpool Duet so it’s not a rare size.
A way this hose works perfectly on each end. It looks weird on the suction end, but the long, curved wire handle helps guide the hose amend through the vent. I feel safer and cleaner. :)

Aceto: This doesn't work as well as I had expected or maybe I haven't got the full swing of it. It certainly is better than no vacuuming the dryer. Years ago I watched in shock to see our dryer catch on fire from the lint trapped inside. Flames came up and over the dryer in our basement. I was fortunate then as the ceiling which was our floor upstairs didn't catch fire. I never forgot it.

I wanted this to work well. I have tried and failed over the years to vacuum this new dryer but none of my small tubes or thin brushes worked. This tube certainly gets further down and maybe the issue is that I don't have built up. I clean the liner after each use. The hose attachment worked a little better on my outside dryer vent. It is easy to use and has good suction.

G.T.B.G.T.B.: I am aware of the dangers of not properly maintaining and cleaning a dryer, so I try to clean out the lint trap of my dryer after each use. However, I recently noticed a buildup of lint in the lower portion of the lint trap, so I finally decided to get a dryer vent cleaner kit. There was nothing in particular that made this kit different than any other brand, but I selected this one due to the price and because I read that the guide wire was helpful for controlling the hose.

Note: I am rating this dryer vent cleaner kit as 2.5 (rounded up to 3 stars) because it was easy to attach to my vacuum and it did remove some of the lint at the bottom of the lint trap. I deducted stars though, because the guide wire did not really help me to maneuver the hose, the hose kept getting clogged (it would be nice if the hose opening was a bit bigger) so it took me longer than it should have and I wish my purchase also came with a storage bag to help store the kit. I ended up using a combination of this kit and my vacuum attachments to complete the job.
