Nette Brown: Since only very small amounts are needed the bottle has more than enough. Appears to work since plant growth has improved

Hanh Le: I decided to buy this to help the leaves of the plant to stay green because they were turning yellow. The leaves improve immediately after a few days.

Me: I should have spent the money to buy the test kits to measure phosphate levels. I added a small amount, half a cap-full, and within days much of the tank was covered in brown diatoms. My snails loved it, but it looked quite bad.
Maybe it's what you need, maybe it's not. There's two ways to know:
1. Thoroughly est your water
2. Be a fool, like me, and put some of this in your tank because you have green spot algae and assume that your phosphate levels are off.
To be fair, the GSA was eradicated.

uslanja: I use only Seachem products in all of my freshwater aquariums. The results are predictable and consistent. I would recommend Seachem products.

RibeagRibeag: Great stuff but a bit watered down. They suggest dosing 2.5ml (half cap) for each 20 gallons once or twice a week. So if you dose it twice a week into a 20 gallon this 500ml bottle would last you about 1.9 years
This is for planted tanks or simply to remove GSA (green spot algae). you can also add some nerite snails. they eat that GSA up. This product makes it very easy to administer your fertilizers, and with a small planted tank it will last you a while. If you have a larger tank I would suggest going with dry fertilizers. You can dose EI (estimated index) where you just scoop a certain measurement of each dry fert in per day. This process is basically over fertilizing so you know you reach your levels and making sure to do your weekly water changes so everything can reset and you dont have buildup of certain fertilizers. But as for this product. It is basically a dry fert mixed with water to make it easy on you.
You would usually use this in conjunction with Nitrogen and Potassium which seachem sells all 3 in a starter pack the "plant pack enhancer npk level 2" but phosphorus itself is one of the macro nutrients that plants need. If you notice your plants are not...

Jack: Works fine to up my Phosphate levels in my tank. That in turn fixed my Green Spot Algae (GSA) problem on the glass, as I read online it would. But, I often have to add some and I have almost emptied this bottle already. I have now switched to dry fertilizers as they are so much cheaper. Just do your research and get a scale. I have replaced a mountain of expensive bottled fertilizers that would have costed me about $500-800 for three years worth. I spent $50 for a three year supply to replace all of those bottled fertilizers with the dry stuff. I did my research first, found a great online calculator and picked a reputable seller online. The 100gram scale in .01 increments on amazon was less than $10. After you research and learn about dry ferts, it is very simple to use these fertilizers. It's actually easier because I mix a 2 month batch at a time and everything I need is in two separate mixed bottles. Basically you make a macro fertilizer bottle and trace bottle (Plantex or one like that). Really the main decision you will have is if you want to use the Estimative Index (EI) system or the PPS system. I chose the PPS Pro (Perpetual Preservation System) because I don't like to do...
