Unhappy: Worked really well on stubborn parts of my lawn where it was difficult to grow grass. Started growing in less than a week. Just make sure you follow the instructions and water it enough. Don’t let it dry out and try not to disturb it too much until it grows in enough. It also fluffs up a lot after watering it the first time so I lightly tap it down with my shoe a few minutes afterwards. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to do that but I haven’t had any problems. My only complaint is it’s a little pricey and had to buy three 20lb bags to cover all the areas on my lawn. Other than that it’s a great product.

Amanda Panda: My yard has been rough to grow grass in for years. It's too shady and quite dusty and bare. I finally decided to attempt to fill it in while pregnant and got this stuff. I am impressed! My yard was the fullest it's been since the original owner grew up here. He saw how quickly it grew in and couldn't believe it. Holds water well and doesn't wash away like most seed. Final product was plush and green and even grows with 2 dogs here. Highly recommend this to thicken your lawn or patch it up.

KF: I prepped two main dog spot areas in the same way and then sowed this seed. The area that receives more sun sprouted quickly and fully. Grass now completely covers that spot. The area in the shade sprouted a few grass blades but did not grow.

Stacie Johnson-MorelandStacie Johnson-Moreland: This is the only grass seed I will buy from now on. It is super convenient that it ships to my house but it also ships extremely fast, I bought the biggest bag available just because of the price being better than going to a store. Follow the directions in the grass is extremely easy to grow. I did not mix up the dirt already on the ground very well so my grass did grow extremely well, but there were some areas that were still splotchy after I noticed the grass had fully grown. So I did go back through with a second coat of seed with the same seed mix And am beginning that process. We water the grass twice a day in the middle of summer where it is dead hot. I know this is not the ideal time but within three weeks the dirt area in the picture had almost completely grown over with grass. This is also including us having three dogs that are outside pretty much most of the day in a muddy yard because we watered it twice a day. This grass seed does literally the best Grass seed I have used and will continue to use only

Amazongirl: UPDATED REVIEW- This spring, I got an early start and bought a few bags of Scotts EZ seed from my local Costco. I liked how the mulch mix immediately plumped up after rain showers, doing a great job of hiding the seeds from the birds while also keeping the seeds well hydrated. With this product, there were no birds scouring the yard for seed. And in as little as about a week, I was seeing signs of life in the form of sprigs bursting forth from the mulch mix.

I was impressed enough, that I went back to Costco to get a few more bags of this EZ seed but found they were completely sold out. So I came to Amazon and bought a few more here. It's been over a month now, and I'm seeing just a few sprigs here and there, but hardly a nice dense patch of grass in the areas I was treating.

I've bought six bags of this stuff so far and am not super pleased with the patchy results of very, very fine grass. In many areas, there has been zero germination. Here's what I suggest. Go to Home Depot, Lowe's or your local farm and garden store and get a big bag of grass seed suited for your area. Get some peat moss and pour it into a wheel barrow. Mix the seed in until you get a nice seed...
