MorningChoresMorningChores: It grows fast! I wasn't sure about the number of seeds to soak, but it appears overseeding may be a good idea. I soaked the seeds, transferred them to starter a mixture of potting soil and seed starter, gently watered them, and the next day they started to sprout. The photo shows the cat grass on day 2.

natureworksnatureworks: Instead of paying $8 to a pet store for one weeks worth of grass, I just keep a few rotating containers of seeds started, and my cat loves it! Seeds grow quickly (ready in 5-6 days ), and it's sooo easy!! Great product!!

Meredith: I had purchased two hydroponic planters I wanted cat grass in for my three felines. They tend to pull anything in dirt out by the root and drag it around the house so I wanted to try something different for a change. First timer here, but soaking the seeds was really easy and I put quite a few in the two hydroponic planters, covered them with cling rap and put them in a warm area. Within a few days I had sprouts!!! The bag is also huge for the value. For three smallish hydroponic planters I really only used 1/8th of the bag. Very glad that they are doing so well and soon I’ll be able to provide my babies with some healthy cat grass to snack on.

Milo's Review: If you follow instructions and soak the seeds overnight before planting the grass will grow very quickly. I did one pot that I put on my kitchen windowsill (which only gets afternoon sun), the other I put outside in my greenhouse. The kitchen one started growing in first 24 hours after planting. It's actually kind of creepy. I'd see it in the morning and when I got home from work it had grown another inch. The greenhouse one took a couple extra days, but it was still pretty quick once it got started. I found that I had to give it a bit of water daily to keep it nice and green. I planted this for my dog, who every so often gets stomach upset. Since keeping this grass regularly available for her she hasn't shown signs of upset. *** note, it's easy to accidentally plant wet seeds in too thick a layer, because they stick together. Just sprinkle them in as light a layer as possible. You'll just waste seed if you plant to heavily.
